Up and at 'em. Rise and shine.

Raining and coolish; have to pack the rest of my camping gear and check I have the basics. Not going to the wilderness so don't need survival gear… Biggest danger on Cape Cod in summer is making a left turn onto state route 6; the Cape is a traffic jam until labor day.

Probably won't check in again till Monday. Hoping for some sunshine and warm breezes.

    Good morning!

Mike, have fun on your trip!

Happy birthday to Sam, yesterday! I hope that you had an awesome birthday.

I finished my concrete project out front. I think it is ok. This was my first real working with concrete. No more snakes were seen, just a toad. It was very hot and humid. I think I over did it yesterday in the heat. I am feeling very tired this morning.

I have not heard on my truck yet. I will call them today.

I went in yesterday morning for a small filling. I was told the tooth had a large crack in it. No filling, but I get a crown on the 22nd. Sigh….

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

    Enjoy the Cape, Mike.

Steve, at my cleaning/checkup on Tuesday, I was informed that the crown on my front tooth is failing, and I need a new one. The old one has been on for around 20 years, so I guess it's time. The two-hour first appointment doesn't sound like fun, though.

The annual 5-neighborhood garage sale is tomorrow and Saturday. I passionately hope that Rita forgets, and we don't participate. Probably too much to ask for.

    Good Afternoon,

Enjoy camping Mike, hope storms hold off and if I could I'll send some of our HOT weather that way.

That's a bumbler Steve, small filling turns into a crown; hope you have dental insurance.

I'll be willing to bet Rita has not forgotten

Rain basically skipped us last night we only got about a 1/4 inch while all around us got about 2 inches

Continues HOT and HUMID, trimmed some of shrubs in front of house this morning, not a dry stitch of clothing on me.

    Good Morning

I too doubt Rita has forgotten. Sorry Dave

The landscape/yard guy came back yesterday to do the backyard and take care of some areas in the front. At the end we agreed he would return yet again to remove 2 Myrtlewood stump clusters on the side of our driveway which I had all the overgrowth cutback or removed to open it up. I was surprised when he brought it up cause those things are well rooted. That will have to do it. The yard is converted to something we can manage, build on and looks great. Got it done for less than half of the large companies quote and it was all very pleasant. I like small family businesses. WI has me up a bit. But it had been a physically unpleasant week in several ways. I tend to lose focus in those times. But PT really got it turned around and my stomach is calming down again so forward we go. Gotta check Heather into her flight so I can get her back tomorrow.

    Afternoon gents.

Hairs cut (what few I have left), had lunch with an old friend and former coworker who lost her teenage daughter in a car accident a couple of years ago (she is still hurting), and did some grocery shopping. Hit BJ's and got gas for $2.229/gal. Sweet. I might have picked up some St Louis style pork ribs on sale after the 4th.

Now waiting to have a phone call with a representative from a company that specializes in helping vets find relief work in their area. I am starting to think that may be the best way to find a practice I really like.

Happy Belated Birthday, Sam I Am.

Great photo dump of your hike from the other day, Dave.

Beautiful makeover of your yard, Bill.

    Onward and downward ;-)
