Already 75º and 90% humidity. Set early alarm to have small breakfast 3 hrs before stress test. I'm not supposed to have any caffeine and yesterday I goofed up and ate two mini Reese's peanut butter cups at DS's house. I wasn't thinking when he offered me one, and then another, and then it dawned on me the instructions included no chocolate. Called the lab to see if I should reschedule, but they had already closed.
EX went back to pulm doc yesterday, 4th visit in little over a week, came home and then had to go to hospital for IVs for low sodium. She waited in ER from 4 until 11 last night before being seen, and is probably still there. Serious bronchial virus or something.
Putting on my trail running shoes and workout clothes for treadmill at 9:30. I will apparently be radioactive for next few days.

Good morning!
Mike, prayers for a successful stress test. I pray that they don't find anything.
Well now. We had over 7 inches of rain in the last 12 hours. I guess there is some serious flash flooding around the metro. We had some water in the garage, but nothing serious. Also a little water in the basement. I feel lucky compared to a lot of people in the area. Over 23K are without power, but we kept ours all through the storms. We are expecting light rain until about noon, but no more heavy stuff. Several limbs down that I can see from the house, but we only lost a few small branches. Nothing requiring my saw. .I will need to pick up a lot of leaves/sticks that washed through our "dry creek". We still have water running in the yard. Cooler today, but then back into the 90s up to 100s for the next week or more.
I found out yesterday that my 1971 C-10 truck needs a new transmission. I figured that. A rebuild, a rebuild, is a minimum of $5500 these days! I am very saddened, because there is no way I can invest that in the truck with all the other work that also needs to be done. Yes, I have the money, but no, it is not a wise investment. I am going to be forced to sell the classic truck that I've had for almost 15 years now. I was going to tow it back home today until I can figure out how to sell it. With all the flooded vehicles around town, I won't be able to get a tow truck until the weekend, or early next week. This is one that really saddens me.
Have a great day!

Mornin' gents.
That is brutal, Steve, about the rain, but especially about your truck. No way you could find a salvaged transmission and have the guy work on it when he can to save you some $$$?
Mid 80's here, but max humidity. Yuck.
Great to hear that Ortho doc likes your progress, Sam. Love to hear Joanne is doing better too.
Day off today. Gonna take it easy.
Onward and downward ;-)

Good morning gentlemen.
Hope all goes well, Mike.
Sorry about your truck, Steve.
We'll be about 10 degrees cooler today, and I had to repair a tear in the Slip 'N Slide, so no water fun today. The kids need to be picked up midafternoon, anyway, to go to some event with their folks.

Good Morning
Sorry to hear about the truck Steve but it sounds like the right decision given other issues. Take time, grieve and then find another old truck.
Mike good luck today. I had a nuclear stress test once. I found it all pretty interesting but gosh it takes a long time, at least it did back then.
I had another good PT session. I can see the progress I am making with this s-l-o-w but steady approach, but it is going to take quite a while and then some. But every week they up things a bit. I stepped on the soft sand at the beach yesterday for the first time since I was told to stay off it. I was accompanying Heather so she could walk the shoreline. I admittedly had a hard time just making it over to a low sand dune to sit and read and I was a little sore so maybe I will stay with the plan. Coastal fog continues to linger right at the shoreline. It was very thick yesterday afternoon and rather eerie. It didn't keep children from having fun. They are apparently impervious to the cold water. It was sunny just a couple miles inland where we live and the temps remain nice and cool so I'm happy.

Good luck with the stress test Mike. I suspect a couple of mini-Reese's from yesterday wont make a difference.
So sorry about your EX and hoping for the best for her too.
I can't imagine 7 inches in 12 hours. Yikes Steve!!
Definitely cooler today than yesterday. It "only" hit 96 degrees instead of a possible 100deg but still toasty enough.
I like Lee's suggestion about maybe finding a salvaged transmission. Otherwise I know our local charities will tow a vehicle away as a donation whether it runs or not as another idea. Looks like they are a classic though and worth quite a bit fixed up. Good luck finding a tranny.
Hanging in there for sure!
