Good morning gentlemen

At a trailhead finishing my breakfast sandwich and coffee before I start. It’s 52° here, calm, clear sky, perfect hiking weather. Maybe if I got up early EVERY day and hiked a few hours—regardless of whether it is going to be a hot day—I would start getting in shape and also manage stress a little better. 190/90 BP is not good, even if It’s only when I’m really stressed out. Losing weight will certainly help that a lot too.
Going for a loop hike on a rocky trail up and over a hill then back along dirt roads. Probably 2 or 3 hours. It’s an Army Corps flood control area, have seen moose here a few times over the years, and usually lots of sign as well.
This evening there’s a surprise party for DSIL who turns 60 eldest DD’s hubby.
Lee, good luck on transitioning to new work out west; things should come together with time.
Sam, keep you and DW in prayers, for healing, recovery and health.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Good morning!
Mike, it sounds like a wonderful hike. I hope you see a moose.
I am going to try to get outside and get a little yard work done before it gets too hot. I have some sticks and leaves to pick up after the big storm. We are now expecting a 2 week stretch of little rain and lots of heat and humidity. Not my favorite.
Yep, Lee. I am in the camp that believes you need to crank up the transition and get to Colorado in time to help M with the snow.
Have a great day!

Good morning gentlemen.
Another perfect day in the PNW. High around 70 degrees and partly cloudy this afternoon.
DS is taking us out to a place in a state forest where they like to shoot at targets. Should be fun. I haven't pulled a trigger in more than 20 years. I was pretty good, back in the day. Don't expect much now.

Good Morning
Enjoy your hike Mike!
We ended up spending a couple hours in the yard which we haven't done for a long time. We removed the sections of picket fence that were well screwed into the 4x4 posts for the cedar fence with our neighbors. It was added to keep the dogs from jumping at the fence but looked wierd. Found dry rot so it will be off to the dump with it. Most bending and twisting I have done in a while. Between my PT, exercise and renewed awareness off my back posture I was only mildly stiff. I enjoyed some rocking chair time afterward. More today. Heather is getting the soaker hoses under the wood bark and I will be dead heading, and pruning. Soon we will do some planting and transplanting. A few other projects might get squeezed in. We didn't walk yesterday as a result of our labors but today I think we will make it happen.

Good Afternoon,
Not moving very fast today; walked Pablo, fixed breakfast, cleaned kitchen, changed packing and bandage on Joanne's breast, handled my 3 S's then hauled trash off.
Yesterday, some friends from old church came and spent about 6 hours with us, great to catch up with what is going on and hear about folks we have not seen in years.
