    Mornin' gents.

Nice sunrise this morning, and quite cool out although heat is returning soon. Will get out for another hike this morning. Hiked yesterday morning around a state park on trails and roads; their waterfalls are mere trickles now.

In the afternoon I had lunch in the Petersham general store, quaint place. Went for a walk around the town common and up main street and there in someone's spacious wooded yard was a big black bear, about 50 feet away from me. Thought it was a statue until it got up and started trotting away from me, but then it stopped and turned around… Rather than wait for what's next, I turned and crossed the road and trotted back to my car. Big fella. Yikes.

Off for another hike. Been doing a few miles a day since Friday. Feels good.

    Onward and downward.

Steve here’s a link to a soundboard dusting tool. The product page contains a video showing how to use it. I get most of my stuff from Howard’s, they’re a good company and easy to work with.

    https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/home/leaving?allowTrusted=1&target=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.howardpianoindustries.com%2Fgrand-piano-soundboard-cleaner%2F%3Fsearchid%3D1025230%26search_query%3DDust

I'll add that to clean the soundboard you don't need to remove the keyboard and action, use an air compressor, etc, as the video says. You can just use the tool and microfibre cloth between and under the strings and still get most of the dust. Just be careful around the hammers. Also the website has another set of tools that are easier to use, though they're more expensive.

    Mornin' gents.

Once again, I've been delinquent. My personal computer time is usually in the early am and those times have been disrupted the last few days due phone calls with M mostly, but Monday got an emergency call to do a c-section. Yesterday putting together a new business card.

Have I mentioned that I will really miss my surgical team and all the great non routine procedures that we do? My clients too. But I will not miss the corporate BS. I will likely run into that in CO as well, but it will not be idiots messing with something I created.

So glad I will still have you guys.

Yay! Hope the magic transmission guy can help you keep your beloved truck, Steve.

No word yet on your stress test, Mikel. I saw that your BP was really good after your hike the other day. That is a NSV!

Bill, I could not make it the day without taking celebrex and tylenol. I have just come to terms with that. Great that you are able to keep active without the help of medication.

Heat is coming up our way this weekend. Maybe it will be cooler in Jacksonville, not.

I chuckled when I heard about the leaky slip and slide. It must have been a major blowout and seriously disappointing for the kids.

Hope you get your hairs cut today, Sam. Too hot for long hairs.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning!

Mike, thank you for the great advice. I will check deeper into that.

Lee, it is great to hear from you again. You have a lot going on!

Connie and I spent over an hour and a half with a dietician yesterday. We got some awesome advice, and I certainly have more (a little) confidence now. It is still going to be an effort to figure out what she can eat healthily, but we have also learned that we were a little extreme in our approach. Us? Ha! I think I have a little more wiggle room now, and I have an air fryer being delivered today. We still have to be very careful, but maybe not OSD about it.

Hottest day of the year so far expected today. We will be well into the upper 90s in temp and over 110 in heat index maybe for the next 10ish days. It is wearing on me.

    Have a great day!

    Good Morning

I am glad the meeting with the Dietician went well.

We cancelled our drive to Eugene since we were both feeling so tired. It didn't seem wise to make the drive. We will go tomorrow. My back tightened up on me yesterday afternoon while I was leaving the Farmer's market. I finally Tensed it in the evening to calm it down and was able to do my exercises but I awoke at 3:30 with significant discomfort and had to get up. I don't know whats going on but I have PT this morning so perhaps he will. Just going to rest toay and putz about. I am tired. At least the weather is awesome for sitting outside.

Should reach 90deg here today in PDX but only one day at 90deg dropping into the mid to upper 80s.

Yeah Mike I don't want to mess with any bears for sure.

Nice that you are getting things worked out with dietician Steve. I was being too @n@l about bringing food to a diabetic friend of ours who has figured it all out and has a monitor etc.

Good luck with the PT Bill, Hope it fits the Bill so to speak

We are watering today for a friend who is off to Kansas for a few days.

Hope all will be doing better with PT, pain and other maladies.

    Cheers.

    good afternoon gentlemen.
Late check in for me today. Sitting next to the campfire and watching the breeze in the tall firs around us. Very restful.

It’s supposed to be 85 here this afternoon. I’ll sit in the shade and read a book. Everyone else will be in the lake. Not my thing.

    Good Afternoon,

Physical torture this morning then took Joanne to doctor; she is doing much better. She has another doctor's appointment in the morning. Nio haircut today, maybe tomorrow or Friday morning.

Pablo will go to doggie daycare in the morning and get a bath and clipping while there, he will be worn out when I pick him up late tomorrow afternoon. Therefore, I will not have to take him for a walk tomorrow night.

Continues very hot and humid, did get a tenth of inch of rain this morning to raise humidity.
