    Good morning!

Still hot, but expecting rain tonight. I'm going to try and mow mid-day. It is supposed to be really hot early next week. I can't paint my bathroom door unless the dew point gets below 65. We have not had the dew point below 70 in a few weeks now. It is just nasty going outside. I hope that riding around on a lawn tractor won't be too bad.

Great news on my truck! The vacuum seal on the transmission was broken. There was very little contamination in the drip pan. I also had three leaks that were fixed. Total damage was $355. I am so happy and relieved. The truck shifts like a dream now. $355 is a LONG ways from the $5500 that I was first quoted. I'm glad that I dug in and looked around some more. I ended up with an old school guy who rebuilds transmissions himself. He said I don't need a rebuild at all.

We got a new air fryer yesterday. I have another learning curve to work through, but this learning curve will be more fun.

    Have a great day!

Gee, that’s good news about the truck,Steve. Sometimes it pays off to do some extra shopping around. And that’s optimistic news about Connie’s diet, too.

Hike yesterday went well, though start got delayed and the heat began to be a problem. Finished around noon. Made it to a hilltop where I cooled off while watching two bald ealgles circle higher and higher, then hiked back to my car.

Got out early this morning for a short loop hike, heading to piano class now. Seven days in a row now. Feels easier to move, though probably no weight loss yet. And my BP this morning is 116/52.

Stay cool and be well. Onward and downward.

    Mornin' gents.

Waiting to board my first plane.

Great news about the truck! I have heard mixed reviews about air fryers, but I'm sure you have a good one.

    Glorious photo, Mike.

    Stay cool, everyone.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Glad Joanne is doing better.

Wow Steve that is just great about the transmission being a simple seal.

Beautiful photo Mike!! Always fun to see the bald eagles soaring above. We have also had a golden eagle in our area recently.

Today back in upper 80s from yesterday's 90deg.

    Stay cool all!

    Good Morning

Congrats on the simple repair of the transmission and getting to keep your truck.

PT released me for my hip yesterday. No problems for a week. I have a few more sessions left and he is putting in for 4 more to work on my back to begin to rebuild a healthier back that doesn't act up as much. I hobbled in yesterday, he did his final assessment of my hip, the what I call is magic trick which twists me in two directions and then I can walk normally again. It would be great to get it stabilized. I never had PT after surgery to protect the newly repaired disc and then moved when the surgeon released me. Off to Eugene today for a haircut and a few errands. It in the 80's over there which to us now seems quite warm compared to our usual 60's. I hope to plant some things when we get back now that I am moving better.

    Good Afternoon,

Went to get haircut with top down, coming home rain while on expressway, little damp before I could get top up. Did learn I have automatic wipers.

Joanne had a good doctor appointment this morning

Need to go get some lumber for son, then pickup Pablo
