    Good morning!

Great job Sam with the cooking! Bill, you are also an encouragement with your Keto. My DBIL and DSIL (Connie's older brother) have been on Keto for years. I'm slowly trying to introduce that into our diet. I just have to move slow with Connie. This requires patience that I don't always have. Yesterday, I cooked steaks on the Traeger, and perfect baked potatoes in the oven. It was a hit. I have tried to use my new air fryer twice now, and both were failures. I clearly need practice before trying to cook a meal there. I may practice on breakfast for me.

This crazy heat and humidity have me bummin'. Yesterday, we had dew points over 80, and at one time, my weather station said that the feels like in my back yard was 122. We are supposed to have three more days of this. Maryville, MO, which is about an hour north of us had the second highest feels like temp in the world yesterday, second only to Dubai. I dare say that we are even hotter than Hotlanta. We just have to make it to Thursday when the high is expected to be in the 80s.

Inside projects today. I am going to try to get in a short 5 mile bike ride before 7:00 this morning. It is already 78 degrees outside and very humid.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Bill, you show your California roots by writing the 101. Those of us who grew up in the PNW would just write 101. Highway designations never take a the, for us.

Sassy has an 8:30 appointment for her well-dog checkup and shots. I need to take her out for an early walk to get a fecal sample. Such fun.

We have one producing apple tree (variety is William's Pride, a local cultivar) They usually ripen in mid-August but have chosen late July, this year. It's a bumper crop. Rita plans a full day of peeling, cooking and freezing apple sauce. I plan to stay out of the way. My shop is calling.

Yeah our grandson is on vacation in cool to moderate Oregon from Dubai (teaches there in an "International School")where it is just plain hot for sure.

Good point Dave when we use the "the" it would be for "The Banfield" our local freeway otherwise just 26 or Hwy 26. Good luck with Sassy and her wellness check.

We look to be getting a good crop of Brandywine tomatoes soon which we don't get every year.

    Cheers

    Good Morning

Dave, I grew up on Long Island NY. We would say The Long Island Expressway, or The Belt Parkway etc. In SoCal it was always The….. But in the Bay Area of California people would give you hard time. You take 680 not the 680. I try but I inevitably go back to my roots. Housework day. Our gardening is going slowly as our bodies complain. Heather is having a hard time. Only some lobelia to plant and the rest is transplanting. Keto is going well. It will be 6 weeks this Wednesday with only one week where I coasted but without gaining. I track on and off to make sure I am not drifting or to help me focus. I have dietary ratios I strive for within my calorie limit. I have gotten used to ignoring fruit and root vegetables. I am able to prepare them for meals without me partaking. S l o w l y progressing physically as well. It will be a slow but steady journey for a while.
