Got hearing test done by a very competent gentleman. Glad M talked me into it. Got a set of good quality hearing aids. Lucid 64 channel. Wore them the rest of the day and no one even noticed. Lessened my tinnitis almost immediately.
Purchased an rechargeable electric weed whacker for the house. Grass grows only in the spring and fall here, but the hired help did not weed whack very well.
Today the Colorado Springs zoo with DGS. Then a cook out with flank steak.
Tomorrow I have appointments with two different vet hospitals. They want full time, at least 32 hours a week, and that ain't gonna happen. I do not need benefits and can probably make just as much $$$ filling relief shifts at my discretion. I'm hoping after they meet me they will succumb to my terms of 2 days a week and one weekend a month, because it would be nice to have something regular.
I am relishing my time here with M and DGS. It will be hard to leave.
Great to hear that Joanne is doing so well, and that you are feeling back to snuff as well, Sam. How did the london broil turn out?
Onward and downward ;-)

Good morning!
Frankie let me sleep until almost 7:00 this morning. This might be the latest she has let me sleep. We had loud thunder earlier this morning, so that might be part of it. Today should be our last stupid hot day for about a week.
Lee, I hope it works out well with the clinic visits. I hope you get what you want, and I hope you get back to CT and pack up for a move west.
Chiropractor this morning, and then inside chores for one more day.
Sam, it is awesome that you are reporting good news for yourself, and for Joanne. Prayers continue for both of you.
Bill, I hope your steaks turned out well. Around these parts, if there is no bone in the strip steak, they are Kansas City Strip Steaks. If they have bone in, they are NY something. We only recognize the KC version here.
Have a great day!

Mornin'… back from Maine camping. Nice time with some GK's in a nice campground on a quite peninsula midway up the Maine coast, a quiet area. It was a bit hot but DD & I went for a walk on a trail leading to a little harbor and another leading to a rocky overlook of the ocean, with Monhegan Island in the hazy distance. I got a stomach bug on the 5 hour ride up there and was under the weather the next day, but was fine after that. Ride home the temp got up to 101º in Massachusetts. Must be Steve's weather coming at us.
Got out early for a nice 3-mile walk this morning while it was still cool; another hot one today, but tomorrow's high only 75º. Glad to hear Joanne's progress, hope radiation goes okay. And Sam, you'll be getting out on TOAD some day for sure. Lee, good luck interviewing. I probably could use hearing aids; have tinnitus and wish there was some cure or treatment. Steve, hang in there with the heat…
Lots of unpacking and cleaning up today after me campground adventure. My next trip Aug 17 is on shakey ground with people backing out or hesitating. If it's nice weather I may just go by myself, which will be nice actually.

Good morning gentlemen.
We're expecting 88 degrees, today. That's hot, for this neck of the woods. I plan to mow the lawn this morning.
Tiring hike, yesterday. Really steep - more than 3,000 feet of climbing in about 3 miles of the trail. Hard on the legs going up and coming down. Still feeling it this morning. Worth it, though. Beautiful place most people never get to see.

Applied for SS (law changed in January and State retirees might now qualify) and got a letter today with a disability release form for some other person who lives in Fall River, MA. SS already messing up before we even start. This could be a long process.

Good Morning
It is indeed wonderful to hear of Sam being released from his beloved Physical Torture session and of Joanne's improvement and activity. We continue to seek her healing in prayer.
Grilling here can be a challenge when the winds get gusty. Last night as I tried to get the coals going the winds gusted up to over 30mph. The starter fire in the charcoal chimney was blown out before the coals could catch and then they did the winds consume the coals much quicker peaked early. I ended up having to finish the steaks in a buttery skillet. In the end the steaks could done but turned out to be rather low quality and not worth the friendly price I paid for them. Winds arek of course, much milder toay. Today I have PT in the early afternoon and then an echocardiogram. My new cardiologist doesn't seem to believe in stress echos. Taking a break from gardening today, just some watering.

Very glad indeed that Joanne is healing nicely and your shoulder is doing better too Sam.
Nice that ya got hearing aids Lee. I mostly love mine and they really don't show.
Good luck Lee with the vet hospital positions.
Yikes Mike nice hike but 101deg is too warm for my blood.
Wow Dave beautiful view indeed!!!
winds are a challenge Bill.
I f have to report that my latest PSA test from yesterday (ultra sensitive PSA test) a somewhat different test than previous but maybe just maybe similar range and scale??? Anyhoo as far as I can tell it looks to me like it has dropped quite a bit lower. I see my radiation oncologist next week to discuss it. with my lesser radiation treatment and so far no hormone therapy I couldn't be more pleased.
Feel blessed indeed.

Good Evening,
GREAT NEWS Bob!
Cooked London boil over charcoal, very tender even though it was medium rare, marinade over night helped.
Busy day but tomorrow only thing is Emmaus breakfast.
Had to go have a talk with DMIL, hollering wolf again. Called DW 5 times yesterday hanging up each time and not saying anything, DW called her back 3 times where she proceeded to hangup three times without even saying hello. Then she called her other daughter telling her she had to talk to her in person, DSIL explained she was sitting at hospital with her daughter in ICU and she was not leaving, DMIL then told her to send her husband out here she had to see someone. DBIL is also rotating sitting at hospital. DSIL called her other daughter who called our son to go see about his grandmother he was at work trying to get everything caught up because he was taking off today to go pickup our grandson who was coming home from Navy. What she wanted and needed is she wanted someone to move a bench into her room. She had already been told she could not put anything else in her room; the fire inspector has even written up home because of her having so much stuff in room were there an emergency they could not get in there. I told her she has gotten as mean as Mary Francis, who was her mother and was put out of three different homes because she tried to stab a lady with scissors, slapped one of workers, and got in a fight with two residents. Also got on to her for being nasty to workers trying to help her, she had gotten upset because they told her she had worn the same clothes 4 days in a row and not taken a bath.
