Off to an early hike with DD.

Have hiked/ walked 2-3 miles almost every morning since stress test. Missed a few days camping, between the stomach bug and having to pack and drive 5 hours. Campgrounds always have a checkout time of 11:00, and I seem to be out straight to break everything down, dry things in the sun and pack it all away.

    Onward and down ward.

    Good morning!

Mike, that's impressive with the walking.

I have been very inconsistent with my exercise. When I have days like yesterday, where I painted and then mowed, I don't exercise very much if any. I tend to beat myself up a little in part, because I'm still measuring exercise on a spreadsheet that goes back to 2005. Does anyone else in the group still track exercise on a regular basis? If I am the last holdout, perhaps I should let the spreadsheets go?

We tried pizza last night from our favorite place. Connie was going to have one slice. It was a disappointment. Tonight, we get to have chicken breast again. Connie is still not letting me experiment, and we have just a few recipes that I'm allowed to fix now. It is a regular rotation of a few things and I don't know how we can sustain that over the long haul.

More painting today, and weed whacking. I have a lot that I want to try and get done today.

    Have a great day!

Yeah I still track activity on a bike journal site and sometimes calendar.

Good luck with cookin' for Connie.

I am off to "THE GREAT OREGON STEAM-UP" near Salem Oregon. 14 heritage museums from model railroads to…. Sawmill demos antique steam powered farm tractors, 100s of different steam powered units, logging demos, blacksmith, flour milling. On and on and on plus rides in scale model steam trains.

I saw a demo of an operational steam powered farm tractor on TV. Anyhoo great stuff

    Good morning gentlemen.

I have never tracked anything on a spread sheet, ever, in my life. I'll leave that to the accountants.

The Bear Gulch fire is now nearing 5,000 acres. Most of the growth has been south of the park, in national forest timber. Still very sad.

We're picking uop the grandkids today. Their parents are off scouting remote deer hunting areas. They are hoping to score a tag for a remote, trailless area in the Olympic Mountains. Not much hunting pressure for those, because the areas are so hard to get to and hauling a deer out is such a challenge. DS and DDIL are really fit, and up to the challenge.

    Good Morning

My career in accounting and finance began in the days of post binders and columnar pads before spreadsheets ,and then went through Visicalc, Lotus123, and Excel. After I retired it took quite a few years till I stopped creating a spreadsheet for everything. I occasionally use Google Sheets now since its free. They are a handy tool. Come to light and discover the joy that awaits you in the world of columns, rows and data crunching.

We ended up just relaxing yesterday morning listening to some music and reading before heading off to run some errands and had lunch at our favorite place before crossing the street to contemplate the Siuslaw River. We picked up some fresh fish at the local fish market. Just some rock fish which I prepared with a recipe featuring Chili Garlic Paste. A bit too spicy with the quantities in the recipe. I should have gone with a terriyaki prep. Trying to add fresh fish in to the mix. At least my gut tolerated the spice. I gave up my spicey ways when my stomach went south following radiation so its a good sign. I can sometimes have 2 cups of coffee a day now after 18+ months. We will walk today since yesterday we spent too much time testing out ouir sofa cushions.

I let Apple Fitness track what I do when I have my phone with me, problem is lots of time I leave phone laying on counter, kids have gotten where they call DW's phone instead of mine generally because they know I don't keep phone with me. Like this morning trimming shrubs and going up and downstairs; phone was sitting on kitchen counter, did have it with me on Pablo's walk this morning.

Much cooler today, rain this afternoon
