Good morning.
It's going to get to 100 today here, so air conditioning is the order of the day. But we'll have to trek at some point becuase this is a sales tax free weekend on clothes and I need a bathing suit. And Cecilia probably needs things that she's been putting off. Pray for us.

We are down to highs in 80's for next 10 days.
Need to get some stuff done around house, we shall see
DD, DSIL and DGS coming this afternoon and staying till after a baby shower tomorrow afternoon, I know I'm old and times have changed but I cannot see why a shower is held for third child and appears as mother is giving herself the shower.

The whole shower thing always seems like a way to force your friends to subsidize your kids. I'm with you, Sam. Heck, we have a woman in our church who requested a "food train" for a month following the birth of her second child - meaning members of the church would bring her family meals. Then, to top it off, she sent a message that, since they are vegan, perhaps people could just give her gift cards or cash. I'm all for helping out those in need but come on. …

- Nice motorbike trip yesterday in very pleasant weather but I think I'm getting too old for those 400 mile days.
- And today I get up way too early because I couldn't decline an invitation to a neighboring church's men's breakfast.
- Good luck today, Lou. I'm getting to the point if Amazon or Costco doesn't have it I don't need.

It's hot and smoky today. Wind has shifted a bit. We plan to stay in with AC.
Saw this little guy on the way to the birds this morning. He was hanging under homeowners car. We think a bobcat. Doesn't look like the bobcats in Nebraska. Much darker and scraggly looking.
