I've watched several YouTube videos that suggest that various nuts are good for blood sugar control. One of my favorites, that they didn't suggest were cashews because of their high calorie count, but some of the best nuts included almonds, pecans and walnuts.
- Almonds
- Low GI = 0 – 15
- Brazil Nuts
- Low GI = 10 – 20
- Macadamia Nuts
- Low GI = 10
- Peanuts
- Low GI = 12 -14
- Pecans
- Low GI = 10
- Pistachios
- Low GI = 15 – 28
- Walnuts
- Low GI = 15
If you like nuts, you might want to get a Lazy Suzan so that you can easily choose which nut you want today.
