Muggy 66 degrees. Icky, but not as bad as Steve's heat.

Hope you are feeling better, Steve.

I feel like dermatologists think they have to do something, so they zap you with the liquid nitrogen.

Work and dog training has me hopping.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning!

Today is going to be a better day. Even though it is very humid and icky already this morning, I am going to go out for a walk in a little bit. We are under a heat advisory through Monday. When the dew point gets above 70, they call it oppressive. We've been getting very close to 80 with our humidity.

Not much else to report. I will be spending the day inside after about 9:00 this morning.

    Have a great day!

    Morning…

Yesterday was a doozy for me. Started out nice—a walk at sunrise to the beaver pond a mile down the road and back and a pleasant breakfast in the cool breeze on the balcony. Car was still in the garage (day 3) so I puttered at home all morning until they called me with car news. Good news, they fixed the frozen, rusted worn parking brake and replaced 2 tire pressure sensors. Bad news, the bill was $1,100 and then they discovered the rear end is completely gone. New OEM parts alone will be $2K or more, plus the labor. Mechanic now thinks car is toast and I should sell while it still runs… Ughhh (I just got new tire$ and rear brake rotor$ and caliper$ this $pring)

Thinking of postponing camping trip into the fall. Might be able to get used rear-end for a few hundred and find a home based grease monkey to install it, to keep the car running, and I read that sometimes the driveshaft and rear end can be removed to convert the car to front wheel drive, eliminating the problem for now. Was not anticipating a car payment in immediate future, and not het up about shopping for a vehicle. Meanwhile will not be driving very far, only to pharmacy and market and church.

Hot again today and tomorrow (80s, just normal hot) but cooling next week.

Have a good day, and stay cool those who are in blazing heat.

    Good morning gentlemen.

    Sorry about your car, Mike.

We got a full day of damp, yesterday, with showers and light rain. That helped the big fire, I am sure, though it has grown to about 9,000 acres and partly covers several of my favorite trails. Rita and I did some banking in the afternoon, then had dinner at Texas Roadhouse. The leftovers will feed us through the weekend.

I did spend time in the shop, yesterday and finished a shallow walnut bowl. I need to do some cleanup today.

I hear ya Steve about the letter delivery thing. Every year or two I get a letter addressed to my mother who passed away in 1999 for heavens sake.

Good luck with your walk Steve.

Nice temp-wise but a bit muggy to start. will have nice temps for another 5 or 6 days before it might hit 90deg again next Friday or so.

Most of our rain went north to Dave. We got 1/4" at our house here which doesn't water much for plants.

Yikes Mike! so sorry about your car.

    Cheers
