Adding 7.20 miles to my existing 18.91 miles giving me a total of 26.11 miles so far.

My foot is getting better. I'm hoping to walk this weekend…early morning.

It got to 101 degrees here in Northern California today.

I pay attention to mine even if no one else can see it. I like how growing the number keeps me honest :)

I don't remember if a I set a goal or not for this month. I have managed to toddle around in my livingroom with my walker for a half a mile over 5 days.

    Mtd 57.7 miles.

I've had some good days and some days I am absolutely out. But have managed a fair amount of movement. Today I actually went scuba diving for the first time in a long time. It felt really good. No vertigo! Yay!

@anaconda469 glad to hear you are recovering!

For whatever reason, my post twice now did not go through. I was hit by a car while leaf blowing at my dad’s house.

I was on his sidewalk blowing leaves into his yard and some renter up the street was off loading groceries. She claims she may have never put it in park. The ambulance techs said the car was in drive. I had headphones on to reduce the noise and could not hear. I remember where I was before the car jumped the curb and hit me. We think she or hubby turned the wheel trying to stop it as they also were injured.
I have two pelvic fractures and a L5 compreesion fracture. I was unconscious for 19 minutes and under the cair. I think my blower hit my groin causing a bleeder and my pressure dropped in ER to 69/44. They pumped three bags of blood in me to keep me from going into shock. My upper body was spared except where my blower may have hit my forearm and elbow. I had PT on Friday and my pressure dropped. Trainer told me to acclimate in different positions before standing. Trauma Doc said it was prone hypotension. I was lying down so long. Anyway, I have 4 miles for Sept 18. My last long walks for a couple months. I am heading to PT again. Good news, I am alive. Had I moved a few more feet I would gave been crushed or killed.

    Sept 18: 4 miles walking

TTD:144.9 miles. I will add more mileage as I am able to with my Garmin.

@CHAR - OH MY, that's awful!!! So glad it wasn't worse!! How did that even happen? Sounds like they may have been under the influence of something. I hope the law enforcement that showed up looked into that!

@ clepant I'm so sorry and hope you will be better soon, you've got a long row to hoe.

My earlier posts don't seem to be here either. I finally graduated from PT and am feeling loads better. She said I will still have some aches and pains but there's nothing more she can do for me that I can't do at home. Because I'm feeling so much better, I was able to get some miles in over the last week and now I've made my goal. 😀

    I'm at 33/25.

    @Dave:

I came home yesterday from the hospital yesterday. I may need surgery on the hematoma and vascular damage to my leg. The pain is tough on only Tylenol because I cannot take opioids., I have about 12 pounds of body fluid from swelling it will be a long road back ..

I am looking for an attorney. The woman did not live there , but was offloading groceries. She must work for DoorDash or a local market and was delivering them. She left her car running in drive and never put it in park and got out of the car. She apparently yelled but I couldn’t hear. I was on the sidewalk blowing leaves into the yard with headgea. She tried to stop the car and open a door while going backwards down hill and tried to get in. She must have grabbed the wheel because the car did not change path coming down trill she attempted to get in., It jumped the curb striking me and ramming my blower into my groin causing internal bleeding and then it went under the car. So she was double diligent at causing the accident. Police did not press charges. Tow driver said it was in drive, neighbor said hen shut it off and put in park and another neighbor witnessed the entire thing. There is glass all over my yard. My hubby took photos as to where I was blowing crash and where I stopped. My dad’s ring showed me at his door at 12:09 and my Garmin recorded 10 minutes there of me moving and it stopped recording steps at 12:10. We have video of them working on me and we have reports of when the paramedics arrived. She admitted she screwed up, but my neighbor said that she grabbed the wheel before she got hurt. I did not talk to him.

And that is my story….l.stupidity, carelessness and always in a a hurry.

Sadly I ran, biked and walk on non sidewalk streets and my childhood street has always been one of the safest around. I am so precautious of traffic at my own house, that Input out traffic cones when trimming near the road or putting down mulch. It was not an accident. I was human carelessness.

Wow, best wishes for recovery to @clepant, @cpanus, @Libi_KK, @anaconda469 and anyone else who is struggling. We are a sad bunch of puppies at the moment.

Still, we have @Libi_KK and @Lovemyalex making goal so that's something to celebrate. Hang in there everyone.
