Best of luck to the hunting duo. What an adventure! Do they have a sat phone?
I was reading that an insane number of the adult population is on some kind of SSRI. I have to wonder if some of these people who act irrationally (we see it at the clinic everyday-we just joke that they are off their meds), like the woman who hit you in the parking lot, are on medication. Or maybe it was just hormonal, LOL.
I did try and go fishing after the tire blowout, I got the boat in the water at the dock and the engine wouldn't start. So I pulled it back out and went home thinking I was really snakebit that day. Once back home, I discovered that I hadn't slipped on the clip for the kill switch. The engine started up fine. Guess I was really flustered from changing that tire.
Pretty cool when old friends and relatives reach out to catch up.
I am patiently waiting for some rust photos.
Do you use an app to monitor your sleep, Bill? I just use my fitbit. It helps me be aware of the quality of my sleep.
Bob, what killed the mouse? Pussycat?

Good morning!
I still have not downloaded the few photos that I took on Sunday. Yesterday was a washout in trying to get stuff done. I kept getting distracted from one project only to get swamped in another. I tried to arrange on Thumbtack to have a crack in our ceiling repaired, only to find a minimum bid of $900. I asked my brother-in-law about it, and he came over, and we all talked for almost three hours. I'm going to do the ceiling myself. I can't do the rotting eaves patch (about a six inch stretch), because it is 20 feet up on the back side of my house, but I don't want to pay $300 to $500 to have that done, either. I'm still thinking on that one. It is hard for me to give up doing these home improvement projects, largely because of the cost involved. We have the money, but it is hard to let go of it for something that I know that I can do myself.
I still have not finished the baseboard trim in the bathroom. I started back on that after dinner last night. I have about three small tile pieces to replace from when we had our tub remodeled. After that, I'll begin on the trim. Those three tiles are at odd angles, so it is a challenge to get a small piece of porcelain cut. Then I have to go get small containers of mastic and grout. Once that seemingly small task is done, then I can start cutting and placing the baseboard trim. I should have it all done this week, along with a few other things.
Have a great day!

Well from the fridge to the simmering pan. 45 degrees yesterday a.m. 20 degrees hotter for a low today and will reach about 90degrees!!
Wow Lee flat tire and then a boat whose motor wont start. Not much fishing luck for ya!!!
Yea home fixit up costs are terribly high indeed.
Back later off to yoga.
going to mow the lawn before it gets to 90degrees. At least my Brandywine tomato which has started to turn will finish ripening in the next few days. The last one we ate was also "best ever".
cheers

Good Morning
Lee, I also use a FitBit for sleep monitoring. I don't know if it is a plus or not.
Good day yesterday. The Dulicimer Lesson was another packed 2 hours but she is well organized and knows how to teach and keep moving without leaving us in the dust. Still lots of basic stuff, but it is stuff I need to learn and master to some extent. I need to organize my notes as well as practice. Beautiful day yesterday. Today is the last of our couple of warm days in the low 70's. I only got out for grocery shopping yesterday. I will do better today.

I camped once near the Von Trapp family lodge in Vermont, but never got to see the place. Heard it is gorgeous. I read in Maria’s autobiography that they settled there because it reminded them of Austria. Fascinating book, a very different storyline from the movie… that’s Hollywood.
Hiked two miles yesterday, mostly a woods path around a beaver pond. This morning I hiked 3.6 miles, 450’ elevation, up to cliffs with porcupine dens in the clefts. Lots of tall, old hemlock trees, with streams and two ponds, and glacial boulders covered in moss and ferns. Audubon land. Saw not another soul.
Trying to learn “dance of the sugarplum fairy” on my piano. Might have it down in another ten years.0 -
Good Afternoon,
Got up handled 3 S's, walked Pablo about a mile, went by DS's picked up stuff for DDIL, went to cardiologist; thinks my blood pressure is too high. Took one drug away, changed strength on one and added a new med. Then I went by hospital to take stuff to DDIL. On way back I stopped by to check on DMIL, she knew who I was, but eyes rolled back in head, helped her to bed. Picked up 4 prescriptions and returned back to house. Believe it's time for a nap now.
Radiation treatments for DW begins tomorrow,
New hearing aids are in, will pick up Thursday after returning DW home and may get a chance to see new DGD.

Good morning gentlemen.
Late check-in - we're still acting as parents of two school kids. I slept in until almost 6 and had to cook breakfast, deliver DGD to middle school and DGS to grade school, just in time to take DW to Army hospital for her monthly shot to ease migraines. After that we hit the PX and the commissary, getting home in time for lunch. Now I need to put together my "special" mac and cheese before picking the kids up in reverse order.
We should pass the kids back to their parents sometime this evening. They don't have a sat phone, but DS' cell phone (iPhone 15) can text via satellite.
