PAUL'S PRAYER FOR THE JEWS
Brethren, my heart's desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation. Romans 10:1
Is the deepest concern of your heart that those whom you love will share heaven with Christ? The deepest longing of Paul's soul was that the Jews might know their Messiah.
Paul longed for the Israelites, "to whom belongs the adoption as sons and the glory and the covenants and the giving of the Law and the temple service and the promises," to understand that Christ had come to save them. (Romans 9:4-5)
The Jew couldn't truly be God's children until they partook of the light of truth. "For the Scripture says, 'Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed," For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call upon Him; for 'Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved" " (Romans 10:11-13).
Paul presents the simple process by which they can become cleansed of their sins. "But what does that say? 'The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart' ----that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation" (Romans 10:8-10).
PRAYER----Lord, clarify Your Word, that women may yield in faith. In Jesus name, Amen.
