Nope, Babe didn't mind other than the bird flew off without being shot for her to retrieve. She was pretty proud of herself actually.

Nor'easter rolling in this afternoon. Got a few things to do outside before the weather hits.

How many radiation treatments left for Joanne? I know DMIL is and has been a real PITA for you, Sam, but you have always been there for her. I am sorry she is in such a way now.

The feel of the pull on the line and putting Chinook fillets on the table is why they line up and cast away for hours, Bill. Its a primeval calling.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning!

It feels great to have another big project off the list. Today will be a rest day.

It is going to be a warm one today with temps in the mid 80s. I really am done with summer and ready for cooler weather. I've worn a jacket exactly once so far this fall, and that was for five minutes to take the dog out one morning. The leaves are starting to turn, so that's good. We are still in a drought.

You folks on the east coast stay safe with this storm. It sounds like it is a bad one.

    Have a great day!

    Mornin'

Foggy dawn, lotsa rain and wind coming later. Church, then will see if DS has any games on the tube and go visit him… Or maybe take in the classical piano concert an hour away at the little old church in the village of Ashburnham.

Walked 3 miles with DD yesterday afternoon. We passed a guy fishing in a pool below a beaver dam, just as he was pulling up a bass. When DD asked him if he would cook that, he told her he will throw it back, which she thought was "so bizarre". I tried to explain that I do that all the time icefishing, but "primeval" is the term that best describes it. Nice walk, although foliage colors have been a little lackluster this fall.

Slacked off tracking a bit this week. I need to just do it in real time and not think I'll go back later and remember.

Have a restful Sunday. Dave, have fun with the GK's.

    Good morning gentlemen.

Well, the Ducks laid an egg, yesterday, but we're still basking in the glow cast by the Mariners, so I am OK.

Problem with having the grandkids over is that we always cook their favorite foods, meaning we eat them, too. Three substantial meals a day has an effect on the waistline, even in just a weekend.

Yesterday wore me out, but DS brought Charlotte by for a couple hours, we got our bed moved downstairs and yesterday afternoon new bed delivered and setup.

Georgia game was one sided first half with Auburn dominating but Georgia came back to win; a call will be discussed for years to come but refs took over four minutes to review.

Did not make it to church today, hoping for slower week coming up.

Joanne has ten more treatments, two weeks; four doctors appointments this week.

    Good Morning

Glad to hear Joanne is in the home stretch of your radiation and got some Charlotte time and a new bed. Not a bad day. I am also glad to hear the DMIL seems to be getting the care she needs in her new setting.

I had an unexpected visit with an old running friend from my Bay Area running days. I thought we had missed our chance on Friday but she came buy on her way north toward Portland. It was good to drink a cup of coffee by my friend River, catch up, swap cancer stories and see her new lifestyle of living and working in a small trailer she tows. Afterward I watched the Ducks fall to earth with a thud. Indiana is no joke. Got a few things done and then ran out of gas which was dissapointing. Doing some cleaning in the kitchen and living room have been half done all week. Exciting stuff. There will be music.
