Nor'easter brought not much rain, but lotsa wind. Should be over by this afternoon. No power loss, yet.

Pulled all the venison left in the freezer from last season's doe to make beef bourguignon. It was over 4 lbs of backstrap, so I had to double the recipe and pull out my monster cast iron dutch oven. Good thing stew freezes well, it is easily two weeks worth of dinners for me.

Is your old running buddy still running, Bill?

Nice win for the Chiefs. A bit of a scuffle at the end. Boys will be boys.

Mike, do not hike today. The weather forecast in your area says a tree might fall on you and the wind will take your poncho like a sail.

Ya know, my dad was pretty proud of his broken nose. War wounds from his wrastling days. But sometimes his nose would whistle.

I am pulling for Seahawks and the Mariners. But glad those Mighty Ducks took a fall because of the way they heaped it on Okla State.

How is Joanne feeling? I bet she is psyched that there is light at the end of the tunnel. But I've been told that radiation treatment side effects often come on after the treatment is finished.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning!

Frankie let me sleep until almost 7:00 this morning! That's a good thing since I was up later watching the game last night.

It was a good game last night with the Chiefs and Lions. It was weird at the beginning when they walked back the Lions touchdown, and at the end with the scuffle. I'm glad the Chiefs won. Kelce had a good night too.

I'm hoping to get a few things done outside today. We are expecting some long needed rain, maybe, tomorrow, so I'll save my housecleaning until tomorrow.

Prayers that Joanne is successful with her last 10 treatments. Prayers also for Sam the caregiver.

Bill, seeing old friends is cool. I'm glad that you had that opportunity.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Shouldn't that be venison bourguignon? Sounds delicious.

DS and DDIL came over to get the kids after their day of hunting. They saw one buck, but another hunter spooked it before they could get a shot. The problem with hunting with the opening day crowds.

Mariners had another great evening and the Sounders and Seahawks both won, so the pain of the Ducks loss has already faded.

Yup not happy about the Oregon Ducks football game. Indiana is good for sure. Seahawks won so that's good and how 'bout them Mariners. Watched the last 5 innings of the 15 inning marathon and saw the post game after their first win over Toronto. Held The Blue Jays to just one run.

My heart is always out to Steve and Connie.

Hang in there Joanne as yu get towards the end of treatments.

    Busy Medical week.

Today off to see Eye specialist to rule in/out recurrence of Squamous Cell Carcinoma in situ w more testing.

Tomorrow surgery for SQ cell Rt wrist.

    Cheers

Good afternoon. Turned the furnace on, NE wind gets in past old sliding doors and chills the place.

Whistling nose might be entertaining for GKs.

Scrolling homes for sale near here and in N Maine for comparison. Prices in ME are nearly half of what’s around here. Tempting…

Biil, good luck at the doctors offices.

    9 treatments left for Joanne.

Having to deal with insurance renewal through county, a pain every year at this time of year. They want items e-mailed, same thing as past 8 years yet required to be redone. It would help if we had good internet and I knew current computer technology. Passwords required to change every few months plus they will not let one be used that was used in past 5 years, as i get older I have a harder time remembering now locked out.

Sleep Number bed delivered Saturday, ready to junk Sunday morning; slept much better last night.

We need rain but none in forecast, was hoping for storm in Atlantic but did not come in far enough. Lows mid 50's highs upper 70's,

Mike your family is all in MA and as we age we need more help, as my DD tells me I better be nice because she will decide where I'll be when I get older; rather go to sleep one night and not wake-up. Since DMIL is being made to eat properly and getting proper care she is doing much better. Other than trying to get someone to bring her here she is fine now.

Have an appointment to replace hearing aids I returned Oct 2nd, found out they had charged insurance company over $2,000 for a set of hearing amplifiers sold for less than $500 at Costco.
