A sedentary lifestyle refers to a lack of significant physical activity. It is becoming a significant public health issue and relates to a range of chronic health conditions. Most people living a sedentary lifestyle are unlikely to be meeting the national physical activity guidelines getting at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity each week. I am an office worker and often find myself stuck in a chair and at my desk most of the day.
Do you have a sedentary lifestyle? If so - what do you do to help make your lifestyle less sedentary? If you don't have a sedentary lifestyle - what kind of lifestyle do you have - active? moderately active?
