Every family has it. That famous dish that their aunt makes every year for holiday festivities or family gatherings. A Lasagna dish, Paella, a squash casserole, a Minnesota tater tot hot dish. Maybe YOU are the aunt who makes that famous dish?
My go to Family Gathering dish is Chilean Charquican - a mix of pumpkin, potato, corn, beef and green beans all boiled into a delicious thick stew. My Chilean sister in law taught me how to make it 30 years ago. My daughter has perfected her own delicious version of Ratatouille that looks as beautiful as it tastes. And my family back home never has a family gathering without a green bean casserole.
