So I went in for the first weigh in, and it was officially 30 days after I started. I was down 13 pounds, which to be perfectly honest, I was a bit disappointed with. I was hoping for a bit more, but I will take 13 pounds for sure. My next goal is 10 pounds. I am not sure I will continue after next month...I think 2 months may be enough for me, but I will decide later on.
Haha I was kind of worried to talk to the doctor after only losing 13 pounds in a month, I thought she was going to be mad. I have heard of women losing close to 13 pounds the 1st week alone!! To my surprise, she was excited about my 13 pounds. She said that my BMI is decieving, and that it was obvious that I worked out a lot. She told me that a lot of my weight probably comes from my muscle, because I don't look like I weigh 199 pounds. So...she wants me to focus more on my measurements, and not on the number on the scale. I see her point, but it is so hard haha!!
So...my measurements. I was down 3 inches on my waist and 2.5 inches on the hips. My BMI is still at 31, so I am in the "obese" categorie. Ugh!!!! Hopefully soon I will be out lol.

Congrats on your loss! Sorry to hear you are disappointed; it took me 7 weeks to lose 13 pounds and for me, I am really happy about it. The measurements are fantastic!! When I first started out, way back at 330#, I had measurements and a couple photos (ugh) and later I was so grateful for those measurements. I hit a point where I stopped losing or it really slowed and I would measure or try on something that I knew was too small and surprise, surprise, surprise!!! What a boost that was to see those inches drop off!! or the clothes that now fit.
Maybe take some pics, too and compare to some previous ones. Images can really do wonders - today, one of my friends said she could see that I have lost weight, and I could just feel my spirit lifting. Even though I wore two different pairs of slacks this week that I have been unable to wear and my weight is lower than it has been in two years, that verbal acknowledgement was really nice.0
