Meeting very short term goals

Have to say I am ectastic about meeting my very short term goal to make it into the 150's for my anniversary this Sat.
Today I weighed in at 159.0:flowerforyou:
Now to keep it there OR less for Saturday will be my newest very short term goal.

Waiting to hear about my CT scan to find out about my potential hernia or "alien baby" as I call it.

Just had a good breakfast and I'm off to the gym for a workout..
Have a great day today everyone.

Do you ever set very short term goals? I kind of like it because I have a long, long way to go.

    Congrats on reaching your goal!

I set a series of mini goals to break up the big goal into more manageable portions. My next one is to reach a certain weight by my birthday (which is one month from today) and I'm a pound and a half away so unless something goes horribly wrong I should reach it in time.

I do a lot of short term goals, but I don't attach a time limit to them. As long as I'm progressing toward them, I'm happy.

    Current short term goals:
-- Run a 10k (in a training run; haven't signed up for any races). I have run 8k.
-- get into the overweight category on the BMI charts. I'm still 2 lbs over right now.
-- ride my bicycle at least 10 miles. I've only ridden it once since I bought it and that was for 3 miles.

Congratulations!! I think it is very important to find what works for you.

I usually stick to daily goals. If I can get some exercise in the morning then I know I will have lots of energy till the end of the day. That lets me eat better and move more. If I can keep doing that I know the other goals fall into place.

You've worked so hard to get that goal! What's your next goal, after the weekend?

I joined this topic group: It is very helpful and I have both strength training and weight loss/fitness goals. I highly recommend it. Of course, I'll still be with the diehards!!!!
