Scheduling blood work

Just out of curiosity, at what time do you usually schedule blood work for?
I am not a morning person so I really hate to have to wake up early to have it done. But since we have to fast (all diabetics do, right?) it makes the most sense. However, the last few times I’ve been setting the appointments for my lunch hour. Anyone else?

It depends on what tests are ordered. If it's just an A1C then it does not need to be fasted. If it's for a fasted blood sugar or a lipid profile then you need to fast for a minimum of 8 hours before testing. Check with your doc on what is ordered and when you can eat.
I tend to get my labs on Saturday. I just head to the lab whenever I get up and then have breakfast on the way home.0
