Want some more MFP friends!

Hi guys!
I have tried using MFP some time ago, but did not have that many friends. I somehow lost motivation and got out of the routine. I really want to commit this time and I think having motivational buddies here would help me greatly!
I started to get pretty serious about this last week, when I set a goal for myself. My weight last week was 202lbs, and I currently weigh 196lbs. I'm just starting out, and it's usual for weight to come off in the first week I think. My goal is to lose 20 lbs by Thanksgiving, and maybe even 30 by Christmas?
I have struggled with my weight all my life, and currently at age 25, I feel like I really need to take control of my body once and for all. I've been so self conscious about even going outside and being in social gatherings!
I would love to make more friends, especially if you feel like you've gone through similar struggles!

I have been struggling with weight most of my life (I'm 33), so you are not alone there. Losing weight is not easy and a good support system does help. You are more then welcome to add me as a friend.
I have started and stopped so many times, I am not even going to try to count them all. I refocused arond the end of March-start of April. I was at 204lbs when I started my refocus. I have lost about 28 pounds so far, but man it was some work. I am having to refocus again after having surgery last month, started dating someone a few months ago (lots of eating out) and I just started training for the Chevron/Aramco half marathon in January. It's time to get serious and stick with the plan.
What part of town do you live in?

Hi. You can add me. I never had a problem with weight until I had children then it was just a constant losing battle. It has sucked and the motivation is so important. My phone messed up in may so for most of them summer I really didn't keep up with anything and a lot of my friends un-friended me haha. I am finally the lowest weight I have been in over a year and really want to keep losing.0
