Breastfeeding weightloss

Hello everyone,
After holding off and not making a MFP I finally caved in. I am looking for support, advice, and to find some helping friends.
Before my daughter was conceived I was 150lbs. I never have felt comfortable with my body but after becoming pregnant let everything go. I ate whatever I wanted and at the day of her birth I was 190lbs. I felt horrible but, loved my daughter to bits!

I have been breastfeeding and still to this day do it ( my daughter is almost a year) and I have managed to bring my weight to 135lbs on a good day :]. I don't ever remember being this tiny! Sadly I still don't feel comfortable in my body and would love to lose another 15lbs (120lbs) Being only 5'1 those 15lbs really show on me.. :[

I am still breastfeeding and I am super hungry. My daughter is only feeding two-three times a day and two times a night at most. I have my calories to around 1800 a day but, sometimes I feel so starving I cave in! Like today!

Any help or friends wanting to join my journey in losing 15lbs or so? I could really use the help and support!
Thanks, Julianna

First of all, congrats on BFing to a year! I hope I can make it that far this time.

At 5'1 1800 calories a day sounds a bit high if you're trying to lose. If your baby is only BFing 2 or 3 times a day I don't think you can claim a burn of 500 cals like you can with an EBF newborn. It sounds like you might need to adjust your settings if 1800 is what MFP is giving you as a goal for calorie intake. GL!

If your daughter is breastfeeding 4-5 times a day (including nights) and she is consuming around 4 oz a feeding - which is typical for that age - then you are producing somewhere between 320 - 400 calories each day (approx. 20 calories per oz).

I agree that 1800 seems a little high for your height and weight, but you have to listen to your body. Your milk could have a higher calorie content than someone elses, you really don't know! If you are starving, eat. Simple as that. For the first year, I made breastfeeding my priority, not weight loss. After one year, she was only nursing 2-3 times a day, and slept through the night, so I only added about 200 calories to my diet (1700 for me). I was 5'9'' and 180 lbs, and I was eating about 1800-1900 and felt pretty satisfied. Please feel free to friend me!
