I have two boars, Piccolo, a red and white American Shorthair, and Goliath, a silkie/cuy cross.
I adopted them back in July and I've never had such pleasure when owning small pets. They have amazing little personalities.

Anyone else cavy savvy?

I had a piggy through my late teens/early twenties. Her name was Chloe, and she was a red silkie (sheltie). She was pretty low-key for a guinea pig, but she loved her food! Since guinea pigs have specific nutritional needs, she ate better than ever did at that point in my life! She loved her vegetables, but was pretty "meh" about fruit, and for some reason she absolutely loved the little vitamin c yogurt drops that I gave her. I really enjoyed having a guinea pig as a pet. One of these days I might just get another one :)

Hello. I love guinea pigs! They have the most wonderful personalities besides being adorable. If you have more than one together you can really see how funny they are!

I had them as a teenager, then didn't have them for many years. In recent years I have rescued many of them who have been unwanted by the people who got them and didn't do their research, or just were irresponsible in general. Right now I have four sows.
  • we have two boars right now, they are actually my sons. harry and chocolate.

I used to raise them before my son came into the picture

There are plenty of them out there looking for homes. Thousands in shelters and rescues.

They do all have their own personalities. And some are smarter than others.
