rest days

Hi All

How many rest days should you have a week? Ive hit the gym every day Sunday to wednesday so far

Sun = Shoulders and legs + 30 mins run + 15 mins swim
Mon = Back & biceps + 35 mins run
Tuesday = chest and triceps + boot camp + 45 mins run
Wednesday = 45 minutes cardio

I would just keep going like this but Ive been told I must have a day off? Feel free to post your suggestions

    Personally, I take a rest day every 2-3 days. I hate it as I'd seriously rather be working out, but I know my body needs the recovery time. There's the old saying "Muscles are built when you're resting, not in the gym" which is VERY true. Admittedly a lot of times I'll use rest days for my Ab workouts, which are fairly low intensity, so I can fit them in for the week.

    I have a job, a husband, and two small children.. I can get to the gym 3x/week, which seems to work for me. I think if I didn't have the rest days I'd get burned out and bored and fed up. As it is, I've done SL for 6 months and not bored yet!

    Me too.. I lift 3 days a week and that's it.
