Traded This for That...

Today, I traded in chips for a delicious apple with my sandwich.

So, I thought, what a fun topic to see what others are trading this for that in their healthy journey.

Would love to know what you traded this for that...

I traded chips and cream cheese dip for rice crackers and salsa. Not as great as yours, but it satisfied.

Just now, I traded sitting at my desk and not doing pushups, for doing a set of pushups.

Just decided to trade sitting and eating lunch for going for a nice walk. I'll have a shake or eat at the desk later.

(Yes Givens, I am blaming you! I'd call you a gym rat, but you don't use a gym.) Thanks for the post. I loved that walk, but it sure goes faster than it used too. I'm gonna have to add another block.

Nice!!! I was contemplating not going to the gym during my lunch but my excuse (laziness) wasn't good enough

So you have a traded this for that and a Non Scale Milestone because you're walking faster ... two for one!

I'm going to trade the time I could spend watching an episode of criminal minds for a walk with my dog in a little while. The sky is a beautiful shade of blue and it's just cold enough to have that crisp feeling, so I will definitely enjoy it.

Happy to inspire, dward! Good to hear that the walk is getting faster. Progress, Mr. Shrinking Man!

Also, I do use a gym. It's called Daddy's Gym, and I might have to make a post with some pics soon. The boys even bought me a sign for Father's Day last year to put on the kitchen door that leads to the garage. So feel free to call me a gym rat

I always trade coke/juice/ice tea for water. And trade some good sleep for the gym: wake up at 5am zzzzzzz

I have tried, but can't... after work and so tired I can't even drag myself to the gym, and lunch... well, doesn't work for me... it's hard... I should be sleeping by now LOL

I like it early, you start the day full of energy

A significant part of my job involves watching TV. (Yeah...I know...and YES, I went to school to learn how to do it :embarassed: )

I have traded my entire work week in for training a dog that isn't mine (but loves me just the same...),

GREAT THREAD IDEA! I wish I had seen it earlier...before I decided that my day had been good enough that i could have a bag of chips. I would have traded 'em for unsalted popcorn, just to appear cool...:glasses:

Yum, is that better tasting than a reduced fat sour crea? I'll have to try it.

WAY better tasting than reduced fat sour cream, I find low fat sour cream always tastes like it has gone bad even when it is fresh. And the greek yogurt is fat-free and thicker than reduced fat sour cream without the added gelatin (I think that is what I dislike in it) AND it has more protein, too. So far I haven't found anything that I can't sub it in for :)
