Awesome! I'm doing my second 50 in November! You'll have a blast. And hey, it's a WS qualifier, so you never know what this may lead to. Feel free to add me!0

Good luck to you!!!0

You are fearless! I knew it. You are becoming my idol.0

Awesome! I signed up for my first ultra, a 50-miler in March as well: http://lwmtnultrarun.com/
Something I never thought I'd be doing, but really find myself looking forward to it. Keep us up to date in your training!0 -
Wow! I am super impressed with all of you Ultramarathoners. I think you are a little crazy but the good kind of crazy!
Good luck to all of you. I'd love to hear how training goes.0 -
Congrats for signing up - that's always one of the hardest parts! I'm considering an ultra too - but I'll probably start with a 50k. I just wish all the courses near me weren't so dang hilly!0

Good Luck! I'm leaning towards doing my first Ultra next spring!!! Going to finish my first marathon first, but definitely want to do an ultra in 2014!
And also like Doriana - I think I'm going to start with 50K (all the courses near me are hilly too...but I kind of like it - hills give me an excuse to walk for a bit lol).0 -
That is awesome! My cousins are ultras, and one has competed in the WS, the other two are sub 24-hr 100 miler guys (yes they have the buckles to prove it hahaha). They are what inspired me to get into long distance running. I can't wrap my head around 50 miles yet, I am training for my first Half lol. But you never know where this might lead.0

Wow, you have 12 hours to get to mile 40 then no cut off afterwards? That's really generous. It's cool for your first 50 miler that you don't have to worry about a cut off.0 -
I'm generalizing of course but I've found most folks who do their first ultra come out the other side either hooked or they have no interest in doing another one. I fall into the former category although the thought of "I'm never going to do this again" crosses my mind, sometimes frequently, during the tail end of an ultra. This changes when I finish and I feel awesome and forget I had those thoughts until the next time. lol0
