Thought I would get a weekly how you doing thread going!
I finished week1day3(well 4 if you count the intro) today, I am so proud of myself because I got up early to do it (this will be good for me going forward as it is going to start to get pretty hot around here soon!
I also talk to Dr Meyers - I run endomondo in the background too and I swear at that voice when it says, time auto paused.... and I am not standing still
Hopefully I am not talking loud enough for others to hear!
Funny this morning:
Since I have been increasing my pace I needed to add a bit of distance to my route, so I walked down some random side street near the end of my route and looked ahead marked a van on the side of the road as my turnaround point. When I looked up later the van was gone... (to work I guess) so my turning point had disappeared.
My shins hurt a little now, but I ran a lot more than I did in the other days - I did some little runs(jogs) in my warm up and the free form, which I haven't done before. Also I noticed that all the niggly things that bothered me in the first walk - shoes, twinges and achie bits here and there, only happen now in the last third of the mission, whereas it happened right away on day one. So small wins... but wins
I also learned (on runners world) a new way to tie my laces because my shoes fit properly but still feel like they slip a bit at the heel - and that has helped a lot!
How are you going with your training Runner 5s?

Good work, Qski!
I'm on Week 4, Workout 3 tomorrow (I use Zombies twice a week right now, due to schedule). I actually look forward to my Zombie days-- go figure! The story remains quite interesting. On W4-W2, I actually ran for 4 minutes straight; felt like a real triumph since I still remember how tough the 15 second runs were in W1!0 -
That is awesome... seeing the 5 min walk 5 min run for wk3 made me cringe big time, but not there yet!
Going to start a new thread for this week.
May not be many here now, but it might be useful for future zombie trainers!0
