Lifting / double / 10k...when?

So, due to the government shutdown (long story) I will be running a 10k on Saturday (http://ioprun.com/).

Obviously I wasn't planning on doing this but it should be a fun race and I'd like to do well. That said, I don't want to disrupt my planned workouts.

My usual workout schedule would be to do a double tomorrow (Thursday)--6 in the morning and 6 in the evening, then an easy 6 and strength training on Friday.

I was thinking of moving the strength training up to Thursday, but I'm already doing a double that day. Is that too much two days before a 10k? I usually do a double on Thursday and it doesn't take much out of me because they are both easy runs, but I'm thinking combining that with strength training may be too much. I'd hate to scrap the strength training altogether, though.

Any other ideas on how to get 18 miles + strength training in Thursday / Friday and still be relatively fresh on Saturday?
