the heart rate monitor :( . I had the open wound before the half marathon so I stopped wearing it. Let the wound heal and wore HRM last night on 7 mile run. By mile 3 I knew it was a mistake. Have myself an even bigger wound now. Hubby says I run better without it anyway.

    It's a good tool, but not if it's injuring you. Good luck!

    is it a soft strap? I have a wahoo and barely notice it

    Polar with a soft strap. She sits in a box now, just don't seem to need it . Ran a half marathon this past weekend without it and PR'ed.

    I got bad chafing from mine until I found the perfect sports bra that works well with it. I went out and got two more of them and no longer have problems on my long runs like I used to. I mainly like to use mine so I can (1) get the calorie count and (2) see if my perceived effort matches my HR and how quickly I recover. If you're doing fine without it, though, you may as well keep it in a box!
