Ok, so after this week we are 1/3 of the way done with this 9 week challenge. Let's all step up and make this week the best week yet. Some have had awesome results to date, some have had so so results. It doesn't matter...either way you stand lets work it 100% this week and on oct 14th say to ourselves. "Damn that was a good week and I feel good about what I accomplished"
With that in mind. I challenge everyone to get in at least a 30 minute workout each day. Something that raises your heart rate and causes some DNA removal (that's sweat for the laymen)!! At the end of that workout I want everyone to do 8 sets of 10 of Squats and torso twist. Preferablly with holding hand weights if you have them. That's 80 squats and 80 torso twists daily.
Whose up for that? I am...any takers??? come on come on...live a little.

I'm gonna die.... LOL! I'm in. I need the extra push. I thought I did good last week. Maybe this'll help move the scale!! Otherwise... This 20# is gonna take a freaking year! LMBO!
Here's to 80 squats and 80 torso twists... wait. What's a torso twist..... Is that like where you lay on the floor form a 'v' with your body and twist to each side? ....

if you want to spread them out during the day that is fine as well. here's a video best explaining them.0 -
just do sets of 10 at a time .....eventually by end of week you should be able to do 20+ at a time! I just did 10 squats in the bathroom!0

So I did them a little different. My legs were slightly bent, and I was more leaned back. So in a 'V'. But, thank you skill, for the video, so we could see!!! And, I don't know how you counted? But I did, left side, right side, as 1. And I managed to do 40. Also, I did 60 squats, all after day 4 of the shred!0

Legs bent here as well. Hope to get better each day. I count one as going right and left. Cheater! Jk good job. I think a rest from this one day in the middle is ok. Think 480 squats and torso twist a week will do for u!0

I am in! My personal trainer also gave me homework so I have to do an "8 Minute ab video" apparently also on youtube every day! Once I find it I will post it on here!

Um glad I did them without weights yesterday. My thighs are on fire. Forgot how torso twist can work thighs as well. What doesn't kill u just makes u stronger. May try with a light weight today. Bring on the ab video crash!0

I am in too! I have been trying to do 30 minutes walk/run everyday but Sunday and actually did that last week!
So I will add in squats after and torso twists. I don't know about 80 though. I will just do sets of 10 til I am about to drop.
I like your comment about doing some squats in the bathroom and spreading some exercise throughout the day. My new plan is to do 10 squats with every bathroom visit ALWAYS. With my added water drinking, that will certainly add up by the end of the day.0 -
spread them out kim for sure if you need to. I do 10-20 at a time, then rest for a bit and then do more. Squats are a little tougher for me right now.

okay I managed 50 squats (20 regular and 30 sumo style) and 50 torso twists after my 3.2mile walk yesterday and today I am still able to walk. We will see what tomorrow's muscles do to me.
That was also in addition to the 50 squats I did throughout the day after each bathroom visit. I like this concept of sneaking in a little exercise all day long.0 -
So far so good!! My legs and butt could feel it by the end of the day yesterday (even though I did them without weight since I didn't have access to any at work, but I made sure I got really low to make up for it)! I can sneak the squats in at work when there's downtime, the twists...not so much! Had to save those for at home.0
