What are you guys doing?
I picked up a couple a 10 Minute Solution HIIT DVD and thought about doing it a couple of times a week to keep up my cardio condition (or build up, rather). I know LISS is out *yay*, but I feel like I should be doing some type of cardio.

I'm going to be doing some HIIT (20-30 min) in the form or running and will be keping up with a weekly "long" run of 5-6 miles (this is coming down from a marathon LOL) so I can jump back into racing come spring. I know cardio isn't necessary, but the more I burn the more I can eat...and I love to eat.0

My personal trainer told me to reduce but not eliminate it but to keep it low intensity.0

I find that I might fit in 15-20 minutes on a treadmill once or twice a month.. but I work with kids and will spend in the summer 2-3 days a week at the gynmastics gym for an hour or so of tumbling and such. So to me that is enough cardio for those months. I will also take the kids hiking. My cardio basically is walking the 1/4 mile to the from the bus twice a day.
If I am at home I might also throw in 30 day shred or DDR (dance dance revolution video game) as my cardio.0 -
I'll probably try to get out for a 4-5km run once or twice a week, and/or a HIIT workout once or twice a week - no workout would be more than about 25-30 min max. I don't want to entirely lose my cardio/endurance, which has increased dramatically this year (and this makes me very happy). Plus I'll be doing a lot of running in the spring again to help move the cut along, so I don't want to lose my running "base" over the winter. ETA: I think at least some cardio is important for overall health and fitness.0

I appear to be the oddball- cut my cardio out completely a few weeks ago.
I do miss running, especially since the weather is PERFECT running weather right now...but I didn't want to interfere with any muscle building. Maybe I am over thinking it?0 -

Not at all--you'll probably experience greater gains than I. I just love running too much to cut it out completely.0 -
I won't even lie- It was hard for me to toss the running shoes in the closet. I've considered "treating myself" to a run every once in a while. I suppose I need to research this a bit more and see how much of an effect a few runs would really have.
BTW- Love that you are mary training! Hard work but such a great feeling of accomplishment each extra mile you hit! I was taken out last spring by a stress fracture and just started getting back into the swing of things in the summer before I fell in love with lifting heavy.0 -

Nope I basically have never done gym cardio. I only do it when I am bored and waiting for someone to finish up on the rack, thus the once or twice a month haha0 -
For the reasons mentioned in this article (http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/muscle-gain/muscle-gain-mistakes.html) I'm going to keep my current cardio as is. A bit of running as long as the wheather cooperates, some 20-25 min low impact hiit and such.0
