Wk7Oct-13Oct - Training Progress

Hi All,
I did WK2D2 yesterday and it felt so much more difficult than WK2D1 even though the work is the same. I did a similar time for my 1st kilometer about 9:50mins (a couple of running bits and the rest walking). The runs and calf raises (heel lifts) seemed way more tough but I did my fastest km so far, but then I didn't have anything left in the last 10 mins and only walked without adding any little runs.

It was a public holiday here and I did go out a bit later and the weather was nice, so not sure if it was the temperature or maybe the time?

Will see how I do tomorrow on D3!

Morning, Qski! It gets better and easier. Surprised myself today by running 5 minutes without stopping in first free-form run... though I didn't have much left in the last one. Officially hit 5K in today's workout-- first time! For the first 2 weeks, I rarely did anything but walk during the free forms so if you are already doing some running bits, you're ahead of me. I had stronger and weaker days; I tended to repeat workouts if I had a week day (which is why, after 19 runs, I just finished the 12th episode).

Dr. Myers reminded me today that as of the next workout (will do Thursday), I'll be officially half-way through my training! It's really hard to believe... but I am believing that it's possible!

Keep up the good work, Runner 5-Qski! We'll both be escaping those zoms and helping Able Township soon!

Way to go on hitting 5km and your 5 min run!!! I do about 3.5km now and tend to walk about 2 mins or so longer than the mission to finish my loop at home. I think I may repeat too if I can't do what is required in the mission. I didn't get up early today so will do mine when I get home.
    Halfway is pretty awesome!

I've had a bad couple of days mentally and physically and have not done day 3 yet or week 2 - I believe it may be PMS related - I have recently gone off birth control, so I'm not very used to my own cycle yet. I feel weak and down and just generally crappy...
I may not have a chance to walk/jog tonight, so will try again tomorrow.

Daylight saving has just started here as well, so maybe it's just the amount of effort to try to get up an hour earlier?

Funny how light changes can affect our energy! Hope you are feeling stronger soon!

I kicked myself out of bed this morning and sucked it up! Completed WK2Day3
I am going to move on to Wk3D1 on Sunday but I don't think I am going to be able to do a 5 minute run, I tried it out today during my warm up and I think I could maybe stretch to 1.5 minutes, but 5 minutes is not quite in my range just yet. I will try it and then if I can't I will repeat that mission till I can do it.

Hopefully that is safe enough to prevent injury.
Well done on your Half Way Through Vaugirard15!

Good work, Qski! I'm glad you are feeling better and that you were able to get out and train! You are doing so much better than I was in Week 2-- I never ran during the free forms, except maybe 15 seconds or so! It was Week 4 before I ran 2 minutes, then 4, then 5. (In Week 3, I tried to run just a little each time Dr. Myers announced something during the free forms.)

Thanks for the congratulations on making it halfway! It was really surprising to look back at my stats and see how far I've come (even with all the repeats and all the walking)!

And, if there are any other Zombie trainers out there... come join our encouragement team! It's very helpful to see how others are doing!
