    Playing Pokemon Y right now and loving it! I've played every gen, so you could say I'm a fan, but I really think they tried and succeeded to step it up with this game. I'm not that far yet though, I just got the first badge :D

    If anyone wants to add me, please do! I'm a gotta catch 'em all type (got 27 as of time of posting), so it would be great to have some trading friends :)

    Got at least one if not two versions from every gen. VI was worth the monies and the wait. No spoilers pls!

    Got X for now, Y will arrive in the mail tomorrow :D

    Just got my first badge and I really enjoy it. I am having some trouble with the directional buttons, I guess adding diagonal movement is more surprising than i thought it'd be!

    Also I'd really like to use the circle pad to move without putting on my roller blades - does anyone know how to make that happen? So fast, too fast!

    here is my 3ds code if anyone wants to battle, or trade! I am big on completing the pokedex so I plan to have many extra pokemon around :)

    Picked up X and Y over the weekend for my son since he had a $40 ToyRUs gift card from his last birthday party and TRU was having a "Buy 1 Get One 40% Off" on 3DS games, so it ended up being around $28 for both.

    Never been into a Pokemon game before, have tried a few times and just got kind of bored. Sunday while my son was at the Broncos game with a friend, I fired up Y, intending to mess around with it for 10 minutes or so, the next thing I knew it was 2 and and a half hours later and my son was back home, kicking me off of the 3DS.

    Clearly this just means I need to buy a 2DS for myself now :).

    I got X, my friend got Y. I guess that way we have our bases covered.

    It's basically like every other Pokemon game thus far, at least for me. I haven't even gotten my second badge yet and my main group are already level 25+. I guess I just like the grind?

    Trying to find the willpower to care enough about some of the new functions. O Power? I mean, the guy shows up and hands me new things but still doesn't explain what exactly it is or how I do it? Confused.

    I agree this game isn't particularly hard no. at least not for now. My pokemon are level 20-22 and I'm just about finished catching pokemon on route 5.

    As for O-power, it's not something that you have to use, but I thinks it's pretty neat to help others.
    You can use it on yourself (healing your first pokemon without going to the pokemon center is pretty handy when training a low level pokemon), and you can use it on others (in the PSS, you can use it on friends, streetpass people and online random passersby).

    I love how it's so easy to trade with people, I already have an eevee! :D
    Also, I have seen 56, obtained 46 in the central Kalos region, it's going pretty well :) I can't seem to find a plusle though.... I might want to trade one, if anyone is up for it.

    I'm on Route 7. Probably going to backtrack because I think I missed a few along the earlier routes. Sadly haven't come across a Plusle yet, just Minun.

    This is me to a tee! I love the grind, I know most people were excited that they didn't have to grind as much.. but where would we be without it?! I haven't gotten my 2nd badge either yet. I have so much going on (and other games to play) that I'm really only 8 hrs in. I'm not going to burn myself out on this one. O-Power is weird and I don't understand it yet either, but I gotta say, I'm sort of excited for MEGAEVOLUTION!

    One of my friends got X, I got Y. Another got Y, and I'm trying to get my boyfriend to pick up X but he's not a huge fan of the series.. I think he stopped at Yellow... :grumble:

    This is my first time owning a 3DS XL though (or a DS of any kind). I didn't realize how much I'd missed having a handheld. :glasses:

    I think it's difficult simply because I'm raising 9 different Pokemon at once. :P And at any time that number can increase.

    I got a Dragon type(Axew) last night, I made the mistake of teaching cut to my starter Pokémon... I thought they would have changed the whole "can't forget an HM" thing.

    I got rid of my psychic/fairy Pokémon to make room for him, I don't know who would be more useful. my team so far:

    Axew (lvl 15) - Dragon
    Fletchinder (lvl 25) - Flying/ Fire
    Wartortle (lvl 26) Water
    Pikachu (lvl 24) Electric
    Litlleo (lvl 26) Fire/Normal
    Quilladin (lvl 27) Grass

    I just got to Ambrette Town

    I just arrived in Ambrette as well :)

    Central Kalos dex: Seen 78, obtained 66
    Coastal Kalos dex: Seen 12, obtained 7

    Right now my main pokemon are:
    Gardevoir (30) Psychic/Fairy
    Pikachu (31) Electric
    Frogadier (32) Water (/Dark, soon)
    Fletchinder (32) Fire/Flying
    Charmeleon (33)Fire (/Flying, soon)
    Pidgeotto (33)Flying

    Also Lucario (27), but I'm not sure I'm going to continue training him.

    I've never had a team this unbalanced, but I'm really overpowered right now so I'm not too worried. I'll figure something out later :P

    Also, Fletchling and Spritzee are my favorites of the new generation so far. Still loving this game!

    Oh by the way, important news:

    There have been reports of a game-breaking bug. It looks like trying to open a saved game that was saved in Lumiose city sometimes makes the save file corrupt.

    So it's best to not save your game in Lumiose, better do it on one of the adjacent routes.

    Picked it up for my two boys. My oldest got X because he's "Xtreme!!!!", and he talked the younger one into getting Y because he's the youngest. LOL!!! I haven't played since Silver/Gold.

    I have the same issue with my husband. He asked me the other night if there's the option to have more than one save because he was considering playing. I wanted to smack him upside the head. Just buy the X so that we have both copies, ya nub. XD

    Am I the only one who leveled up (and uses) a Butterfree regularly? ._.

    Awesome. Added all Friends Codes from this thread. =)

    Venipede should be available for capture on the way to Parfum Palace, Route 6. If you walk next to the bushes up the central corridor, they'll jump out of the bushes at you.

    4 gyms down and I find all I've been doing is visiting the Battle Chateau to win money so that I can buy more clothes. Pokemon is a glorified doll dress up game...for me, at least. XD
