So i'm doing my online shopping in the next week or so and was wondering if there was anything in particular i should be buying.
What healthy foods are your favorites? What are your go-to foods that i need in my life?
I'm stuck in a rut of always buying the same things; mainly turkey, pasta and soup so wanna try something different.
Any ideas greatly appreciated

Just buy whatever you fancy, there's no point forcing yourself to eat something you don't want, it's a sure fire way to guarantee you won't keep it up. I buy anything I fancy, crisps, chocolate, sugary cereals, etc. I won't force myself to eat something I don't like. Aslong as it's within my allowance, i'll eat it.
Probably not much help, sorry!0 -
Spinach, fresh or frozen, well fresh for salads and fish, Frozen for everything else, cheap as well0

Porridge for breakfast ( not the flavoured ones) frozen berries to mix with it. Greek yogurt whole grain pasta and rice and noodles if using complex carbs0

I eat lchf so I don't have any bread, pasta, rice etc on my list but I do have lots of leafy veg which are not too overpriced atm. Also a lot of supermarkets are using them as enticing offers or loss leaders so you can grab some bargains.0

Whatever lovely veg I find on the market, mmmmm
Frozen veg too for emergency "what am I doing for dinner" quick fix omelet; salsa for a nice kick to jacket potatoes, dipping into with crudites and my fav; 2 wraps with a dollop of salsa, a bit of cheese n something leafy green sandwiched between the wraps n browned in a dry frying pan or grilled yumyumyum0 -
I always buy:
Weetabix
Milk
Brown bread
eggs
tomatoes/salad bits
Chicken (butchers)
Lean mince (butchers)
Frozen casserole veg
cheese
bacon
selection of veg
baked beans
rice cakes
natural peanut butter
yogurts
I usually shop in Iceland now as pretty cheap, then I go to the butchers, I can usually get most things in town rather than super markets.
Every couple months I will go to Tesco or Morrisons0 -
Some of my staples that help keep me on track:
Breakfast:
instant porridge with no added sugar
banana or honey
swirl of almond butter
Great snack:
Fage 0% fat Greek yoghurt
Strawberries
Blueberries
honey
I add a handful of Nature's path wheat-free Os (my daughter's wheat-free cheerio-like cereal)
Great lunch:
Two Chicks liquid egg whites
Spinach
Tomatoes
Another great lunch:
tuna
onion and chive cottage cheese
oatcakes
canned sweetcorn
chopped braeburn apple
salad
Dinner I have at least 3 times a week:
Salmon fillets/Cod fillets/chicken
Lots of Uncle Ben's express wholegrain rice (it's expensive but means there's always healthy, quick, non-sticky rice on hand on busy days)
butternut squash - roasted with a little salt make it taste like a treat!0
