So the hubby picked up these bands used for the relief of nausea due to morning sickness. You put one band on each wrist on the Nei-kuan acupressure point. So far I think it's working. I haven't felt like vomiting yet.
I'm all for any drug-free ways to treat morning sickness. Has anyone tried these bands before or anything else that has cured morning sickness?

That's great that they're working! So far my MS has been manageable, but if it ever goes out of control I'll be sure to pick some up!0

I am so glad to hear you're feeling better today!! Hopefully you can get some good food and nutrition to stay down now!!
I was tempted to go out for some bands on the weekend, but I decided to tough it out a bit (and so far am feeling okay) and also realized that I wouldn't be able to wear them without a zillion questions at work about what they are and why I'm wearing them (or the obvious give-away for anyone who knows what they're used for).0 -
Thanks Amy! All my co-workers here know that I'm pregnant and feeling nauseous. I actually had one of the nurses put the bands on me so she could make sure to put it on the right pressure point. They really don't show under my long sleeves.
Hope you feel better as well!0 -
I bought some for my first pregnancy. I don't think they really worked but they did at least distract me from my nausea? I feel like that's how they worked-- by being distracting.0

That may be true! I think it's a mind over matter thing :-)0

I have used these for motion sickness during a kayaking trip and they worked wonders.
So far, ginger tea, lemon drops, pretzels, and saltines, along with appropriate veggies and fruits, seem to be working well for me. I suspect I am one of the lucky ones. The only time I've gotten sick is when I waited too long to eat saltines in the morning.0
