Lazy Shakes?

I've never tried to make any shakes. I was thinking that I should have a good backup for when I don't have time for breakfast. I was wondering if anyone has any easy protein shakes that, preferably, don't need a blender. I'm thinking 1 or 2 cold ingredients, like almond milk, and 2+ powdered/dry ingredients, like whey and coco.

Any thoughts? Would this be gross?

I kinda need a blender. Have you thought about a Magic Bullet? They make are super easy to clean up as it just makes one shake. Or a Nutribullet?
I'm not big on anything but real foods in my shakes. Whey and other protein powders are probably fine but I don't do them.
I would get a magic bullet and keep a few things frozen to throw in there with your almond milk (frozen strawberries, blueberries). I guess you can addd some powder if you're worried about protein. I would keep some hard boiled eggs on hand.
Hey, have you seen this easy, 1 minute muffin you make in the microwave in a coffee cup?

It takes 2 minutes to mix up and 1 minute to cook. ALMOST like a real muffin. ;)

I guess it'd probably be best to get a blender. I could leave some frozen stuff at work and keep it for emergencies. I would probably get the bullet. I think they're pretty inexpensive, aren't they?

I may have to try that muffin. It looks good! What is flax?

I also think I've seen someone make powdered egg whites. That may be a good protein thing if you make it yourself. Not sure how difficult it is, though.

I agree with Carol, a Magic Bullet is the way to go. We got our Costco (can't remember the cost) and came with a various size cups and two different blades. I use mine everyday to make a smoothie.

For my smoothie, I use plain greek yogurt, almond milk, frozen berries, and a scoop of protein powder (I use Jay Robb's Vanilla Whey Powder or Vanilla Egg Protein Powder). I make it as an after dinner treat, keeps me from craving ice cream (most of the time, anyway! LOL).

I think I'm going to get one of the less expensive hamilton beach personal blenders to keep at work. Just to see if I like it. We have a Ninja at home, so I may just try a few things first, before I buy a new blender.

What made you choose those particular protein powders? I've never done this, so I need to learn before I get something that may be negative for me.

Major reason - taste! I like the taste of the Jay Robb's over some of the other ones I have tried. Also, there are only five ingredients and it's sweetened with Stevia. No fat or sugars and only 1g of carbs, with 25 g protein.

One of the things I read was, if you were going to be using protein powders was to try a variety because there are a lot to choose from and every one of them has different advantages, not too mention different tastes and textures. I was able to try a variety by buying sample packs at our local natural grocery store, but I found this brand at GNC and found I liked it best.

Alright, I'll have to check that out. I would imagine GNC has sample sizes, too. I think we have one of those around here.
