New to group but not to PCOS (also anyone have RA?)

Hello! My name is Erin and I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 16 years old. I lost over 100lbs without the help of metformin and it was just diet and exercise. Then when I turned 21 my body decided to turn against me. I got the lap-band which has been helpful, but I can eat some most of the carbs.

I was also diagnosed with hypothyroidism and most recently in February Rheumatoid Arthritis. Here is where my issues are coming in. I'm taking 2000mg of Metformin per day. My cycles (after taking out my birth control) haven't even bothered to come back, normally when I take Metformin, my body instantly absorbs it and I am able to start losing weight.

Except enter my RA medications. We think that these are the culprits of why my medication is not working the way it should be.

I'm 30, 5'6 3/4 and sigh, I weigh 209.4

I'm getting married in February and would like to stat a family. My fiance feels that we should be waiting until "he's ready" except my biggest fear is that if we don't start trying now, when we want to start, we will have to start at point A when we can say we've already tried at point A and want to go onto point B with my obgyn.

Ive been dx with PCOS since i was 11, im now almost 37.
Ive been dx with RA since i was 25
Ive also got bipolar, ocd, tourettes and was dx with breast cancer at the age of 33. Im allergic to the material they use for stitches, latex, medical tape and pain meds, so WLS is out of the question.

I cant take any meds tho because of a genetic liver issue. so im here trying to lose weight by my own grit.

You can do it, takes more effort for PCOSers it seems, as most of us are also insulin resistant. Slow and steady, you can do it!
