Hey all!
I am currently traveling and have decided that, for one of my first feat of self care nest week, I am not going to push myself to do the charts on Thursday while away. Thank you for understanding....and I promise to have them up by the time it is time for the next check in. I want to make sure than I spend my time trying to get in more steps in my long lecture days rather than entering numbers in a chart!
This challenge ends Wednesday November 28th (the week before American Thanksgiving...that's an accident) but YOU CAN JOIN AT ANY TIME! (Act now, but this offer WILL last, and thanks to MFP, it is only 10 easy payments of FREE!).
This challenge is fantastic, mainly because of the people who participate (we are a supportive bunch), but also it keeps getting tweaked by participants' suggestions to make it better.

Well THIS was a poor week for sure...working through some emotional family issues that make it hard not to turn to food for comfort. Trying to be gentle with myself but not let things get out of hand. I have a medical procedure tomorrow that requires me to fast today so I'm going to use that as an opportunity to start "fresh" Saturday...0 -

Hey, fellow challengers. I feel like I owe an apology for not being as actively engaged this challenge as I was last. I can't tell a lie: Pregnancy is seriously altering my behavior. I am tired and hungry - ALL the time. This is a vicious combination! Also, my food preferences are totally altered. I usually love fruits and veggies. I usually can reign in my love of the carbs. I drink PLENTY of water usually. There is NOTHING usual about my diet at all the past several weeks. I crave carbs and sweets CONSTANTLY. While I get that this may be part of pregnancy, I am worried that my temporary love of these things will become habits. While I am trying not to beat myself up about this and am certainly enjoying my new normal, I am also giving some attention to these concerns in this little space. I also suspect that part of my latest indulges have to do with the fact that my spouse has been out of town the past week. When else can I "get away with" eating a cinnamon roll a day?!
Also, a month-long vacation/visit to family starts this Saturday. It is likely that I will not log in for the first few days while I am in Paris. (Yeah, I typed that: "Paris.") However, once I reach my mother-in-law's home, I will be back in action!
