Good Morning team! Looks like we missed some weigh ins and challenges this week. We will get a penalty this week but then next week we should be ok if everyone gets their weights and challenges in.

Agreed, kyoung! I think that this is a great way to get us thinking creatively. I haven't been able to get an exercise in (except for last weeks challenge) in like 3 weeks because of work! I am finally finishing my project today and will be able to get in some workouts! I'm excited to try and figure out how I'm going to workout with new options.0

Feeling great this morning! About to go on a run with the husband. Then tonight, I'll add in some extra gym time! Will include at LEAST treadmill (because I think I won that bid!) and perhaps an exercise class!
PS. I would say I attempted the optional challenge but did not complete it. Husband and I went for a walk after all the trick-or-treaters were done. It probably was only about a mile that we walked. But still! That's a mile more than I've done in weeks! Haha0 -

Thank you...her fever is dropping slowly so I went to the store and bought her a bag of Halloween candy since she didn't get to go out. But the same rules apply like last year....1 piece of candy a day...no more0 -

I couldn't bring myself to get out of the house to the gym, but I still wanted to add in a workout. Today I did my first creative, out of the norm exercise! I'm sure many of you have seen those workouts that you can do during shows... For example when watching Harry Potter, you might do ten pushups every time a spell is cast. Or do five crunches every time you hear the word "wizard". I won't lie, I have a hard time keeping up with those because I feel like I'm spending way too much time looking through the list every time something happens.
So I decided to change it up a bit. I had a list of six different basic exercises (pushups, crunches, jumping jacks, scissor kicks, dips, and planks). I begin with the first exercise, and every time the scene changes I switch to the next exercise. Every cycle, I add a few scenes for rest. It's great because some scenes are longer than others, so some cycles I might spend longer doing pushups or crunches, and others I might spend longer doing dips or planks. I also discovered that my foyer, living room, and office provide a perfect length for running laps. I can do that one for a few scenes too, just to change it up a bit and add cardio.
I didn't make it for very long today doing my new regimen. But, now that I have the method, I can keep working on it and build up my stamina!0 -
This morning's weigh in 283.6 lbs was to be expected, sorry team but I gained 1.2 lbs, didn't use any equipment all week and was super busy with work unfortunately that meant eating out some and the choices were hot the greatest. Expect this week to be better.
I attempted to get a walk in, however it wasn't Thursday as we had terrible weather and trick or treating was canceled until Saturday. I only got about a mile.0 -

Challenge Complete: I won the hand weights (at least I think I did) and so I used those for the week. I did 35 crunches for the hand weights. I didn't win the exercise dvds so instead I burned some nice calories by turning on Pandora (internet radio), cleaning up the house and doing some Miley Cyrus twerk action. Been working with a personal trainer and so far I'm liking the results.0 -

I know that I gained since last week... But don't worry team! I actually gained more than that this week, and this is me "losing" lol. I finally was able to get back into eating healthy and exercising this weekend (as my diary indicates). So don't worry, I'll be down again for next week!
I completed the challenge. I won the treadmill and exercise classes. I did the crunches required for both, but I didn't actually use the treadmill this week. But I did go to yoga! Also, I have been running the last few days outside. The weather has been wonderful. And I'm beginning to get addicted to the way running feels.0 -
