what are you guys doing about alcohol? I rarely drink anyways, about twice a month before i started heavy lifting and bulking. I like to drink , and if there are calories left in my diary sometimes i am drinking more often like once a week. I dont know how its going to affect my body during this time.
what are you guys doing about alcohol while you are bulking.... drinking? not drinking? beer, wine , tequila? When i do drink, i stick to clean top shelf spirits and very little mixer, if any. yep shots and i just sip them.

I have a glass of wine 2-3 times a week. My trainer told me to be sure to get my good calories in though, in other words, don't substitute for liquid calories.0

I'm probably no help bc it doesn't matter if I bulk, cut or maintain; alcohol just isn't an issue for me. We use to got out a lot. ALOT. Like 4-5x/wk. It got old fast and it's not something we enjoy anymore. I don't prelog alcohol or even preplan it. I've had 1 beer in the last 9 mths and that was in September at a game. Loved it but it's just not something I crave anymore or want to do every week. Drinking for me leads to bad eating, effects my workouts and honestly isn't great for your metabolism if you partake in it frequently. If we go out with friends or whatever and I want a drink I will enjoy one as it's life and I have goals to get rid of logging soon. I don't restrict myself of anything. As far as fitting it in, nope, I rather work in food.0

Being a teetotaler enables me to eat more tasty foods. That's not why I am, but it's a nice bonus.0

I enjoy a drink once or twice a week. During show prep, it's been zero alcohol per my coach's orders and I've missed it. During my bulk, I plan to have my couple of drinks because I enjoy it and life is about more than building muscle I know sometimes people try to "fill in" their calories with booze if they're a little low for the day, but I personally think that's a mistake. It's my opinion that the body cannot/does not use alcohol calories in the same way it uses other sources of carbs, and it's not going to benefit you at all. If you're gonna drink, just write it off as a "cheat" and be done with it. It's ok to live a little0

I do a glass of wine 0-2x/week, Friday and Saturday ONLY. If I drink during the week, I'll never get up in the morning for work! I just make sure it fits into my day. If I have 120 cals left but am short on protein, you can bet your *kitten* I'm going to have a protein shake or yogurt instead of the wine, though LOL.0

I normally don't drink during the week, but I do enjoy some good beers on Friday, Saturday, or the occasional Sunday. I still drink while I am cutting, too - even though its not recommended. It is just something that I do with my husband; we like to brew our own beer, try new beers, etc. and its not something I want to cut out of my life right now. I do try my best to hit my protein before I reach for a frosty beverage.0

I have a class of wine maybe every 2-3 weeks.
I was following a Sunday - Thursday no drinkie- Friday/Saturday = drink time.
Then I pretty much stopped drinking because I was too busy. So every once in a blue moon I drink- but 1 beer does me in.
I had 2.5 yesterday- had a day off and just - sigh- fire outside with the man- seemed like a good time for a beer. I try to limit- It'll probably get more aggressive in limitations after this phase of bulk- cutting is hard to do for me if I drink- 1-2 a week becomes a very common habit and it's just extra calories I shouldn't be drinking.
mostly depends on where I am in my goals0 -
I like my drinks, so when I've met my macro's and still got some room I have some wine, beer or whiskey. Usually a couple of times per week, either cutting or bulking.0

I have three or four beers every Friday (and lately Saturday) night in the bath tub. I have been doing it for at least fifteen years now (minus nine month pregnancy). It does make me a little loopy so occasionally I will go over calories.0
