MSG

Not sure what we are using this for, but I will start this forum by saying that I discovered this weekend that MSG is trully a Migraine trigger for me. I've tried to avoid any food that might have it as an ingridient because I suspected it was contributing to my Migraines and digestive issues. I have not had Chinese food in ages - usually too much sodium for my taste and I don't like much but the stuff that is not good for you - fried rice, crab rangoon, egg roles and shrimp in lobster sauce. I've had colon and gall bladder surgery, so finding the digestive triggers is ongoing, but today I had just a small amount of Chinese Angel Hair with chicken (1 cup) - - forgot to tell them NO MSG. I ate it half an hour ago and my head feels like it's going to fall off. NO MSG for Mary going forward!! Next experiment - eliminate Carrageenan and then see what re-introducing it does.
