So, anyone else seen it? Opinions? I thought the ending was fabulous, even if it raised so many questions. Not enough Loki though...

Saw it. Liked it, although I wasn't expecting to honestly. Pacing was spotty. Agree, not enough Loki, although the end certainly made it interesting. I thought Eccleston did great, was happy to see Malekith and the Dark Elves (and their makeup and armour jobs were awesomely creepy), and Darcy stole the show every time she was on the screen. Erik was channeling Walter White.

    Cheers!

I loved it. Tom Hiddleston is mind blowing as Loki. He stole the show and stole the spotlight from Thor every scene he got. Not a bad thing, as I'm a Loki fangirl. The movie was hilarious. Natalie Portman was annoying however.

All I can say is "Tadaaa!"

I was grinning for the rest of the day after seeing the movie, it was so great!

I enjoyed it. Thought the 2 extra scenes after the movie were great too. For those that watch the Agents of SHIELD tv show, they talked about how a upcoming episode will tie-in with the ending of the Thor 2 movie.

I wonder if we'll see that big dog running in London again?

My gripe is all the questions the ending raised (which I'm not going to talk about so I don't give too many spoilers lol). And all the time spent on Selvig, which I thought was a bit of a waste because really, he didn't do much in the movie.

I just hope we get answers down the line.

I thought it was pretty good overall. Much better than I had been expecting, in fat; the first movie was a little disappointing to me. Good action scenes, and while Loki may have been under utilized, the relationship between him and Thor was still portrayed well.

Yes, the ending does bring up at least one glaring question which begs explanation. I'm guessing there are already plans for a 3rd movie, though I haven't really checked.

Nothing's been announced yet, and if there is it won't be for 2-3 years in phase 3. One can hope!

Oh, and the after credits scene was intriguing. Seems like it is working towards something long term, as what has been announced for the 2nd Avengers movie so far does not seem to tie in with that.

I still haven't seen it yet! Taking the day off tomorrow and will treat myself to lunch and Thor2 at the swanky Cinebistro.

It's for Guardians of the Galaxy.

Ok, so I saw it today in 3D just because it was the best time to go, and enjoyed it. Glad they gave Idris Elba a little more to do this time, as he rocked it all. Was really looking forward to Chris Eccleston (an underrated doctor IMO) but felt like he was hard to recognize under the makeup, and while he was a formidable villain it seemed like he didn't get to *act* very much. Loki was great, though I chided myself at the end for shedding Loki tears earlier (hope that doesn't spoil anything). Hemsworth still feels like a plausible Thor to me, and he's an easy guy to watch (besides being Slab Hardchunk I mean). I don't think 3D added much, though it's always hard to say. There were some very touching scenes. I thought everyone did their bit well, no noticeable sour notes.

They probably did go on a bit too long with the Erik Selvig stuff but I chose that time to sneak out and refill my water bottle (after the Stan Lee cameo of course).

So, the trailer for Captain America: Winter Soldier was great! I have a question about that though. I only just saw Iron Man 3 on Saturday and noticed they kept mentioning suit number 42, and in the CA:WS trailer there's something that looks like a futuristic aircraft carrier that has 42 clearly marked on its side, which you see clearly more than once. Is this an homage to Douglas Adams, a reference to something else in the Marvel universe (I only grew to love these stories through the movies so I don't know the comics in depth), or just a coincidence?
