I seem to recall the story about the Chinese man successfully suing his wife for actually being ugly being discussed in here. Apparently the story is not true...

You're right.
Still, this story made me realise that there is generally a reasonable expectation from people for their children to look like them or their significant other.
Could there be "deceit" if it ended up not being the case?

Glad to hear that story wasn't true. I was feeling really bad for the kids to have been blasted in the media over physical appearances they couldn't control.
