I've been freaking out about all these calories i'm eating and if when its time to cut will i be able to drop down to a lower level after being spoiled on all this delicious food all day long. I'm constantly hungry and constantly searchign for food and eating and i was worried about how its messing with my head.

Well this week , i'm on a full week rest, recover, deload etc. So i figured i'd cut my calories for the week, and suprisingly its been soooooo easy and feels really natural! i added up my calories for today and i am only at 1300 and i'm not even hungry , i'm actually stuffed. I cut out the slabs of turkey i snack on all day, and i dont miss them. I cut out my protein shake, dont miss that either. I cut my preworkout snack in half, and just trimmed a little here and there. And without my daily heavy lifting, i'm not starving all day long and craving calorie dense foods. I even added in some extra cardio for the week. I'm gonna try and keep my calories at about 1600 each day until lifting starts again on monday.

I'm so happy this makes me feel better knowing that when the time comes its gonna be easy to cut the calories back down. There is hope!!!!

That's great news! When I cut, i won't be cutting calories by more than 2-300...I'll just be increasing my cardio (getting back into running shape).

That's great! It's nice to not fear it as much. But when you start cutting, will you be not lifting too? I would think you would still be lifting so your hunger might still be up there. I guess if you could do 1300 though than doing 1600 would be even better!

I'm just starting on the bulk (late to the party) so haven't thought too much about cutting but I think my plan will be similar to Primal's .... a slight deficit with more cardio.

I was thinking the same thing. Hopefully, you'll still be lifting when you cut so your hunger might be more. I'm doing the same as the above ladies. Only planning on cutting 200-300 cals and adding some running in there.

yes i'll still be lifting on my cut probably not as intensly, i'll have to see how it all goes, I'll start out doing what you guys suggest just cut a few hundred calories and add in a little cardio. I was just so happy to see that i was able eat less than 2300 and not be starving! i ended up last night with about 1850 calories after dinner and some snacks. that is about a maint level for me. I'm gonna do that all week since i'm not lifting and just keep listening to my body. I've been worried that i am hungry and eating just for the sake of eating . So its nice to experiment and realize that i'm actually eating because my body is craving the nutrition and that i'm still in control.

Thank you for sharing this, it does make me feel better. My plan is the same for cutting, small deficit and more cardio. I'm basically doing zero cardio and actually miss it. Wow did I just say that? I'm not a cardio fan as you can tell, but I think I'll enjoy it more since I've had a break from it. Separation makes the heart fonder I guess. :drinker:
