Not doing as well as I'd like

I started Strong lifts in about June I think, it was slow at first, but I kept at it and progresses.
I have a few health issues that makes everything slower, longer, etc... But I persevered. Slowly.
Then I started a part time job in August. Just 3 days a week. 19-20 hours a week.
It is taking everything out of me. I am so tired and sore all the time. I try to get some lifts I. Or a workout, even a small one sets me back. It takes 2-3 days to recovery from any small workout anymore.
I need more energy. More stamina. Less guilt about not being able to get in 3 good workouts a week. Or two. Ha, or even ONE some weeks.
Not sure what I hope to get out of this post. Nothing really, I guess. I less anyone has a case of instant strength and energy elixir that cures Chronic Fatigue and migraines.
I just need to type this and get my disappointment out maybe.
I want to lift weights again, I try hard to make it work, but it's like falling down a glacier. A quick decent with no good hand holds to catch myself...just cold, slick, ice.
I guess I need to get a good schedule of JUST yoga and some easy body weight exercises. I am so close my goal. Surely a few easy months won't kill my results and might make things better in the future..instead of killing myself right now
(I am 41, had hysterectomy about 18 months ago. Was 150# before surgery, 145 after, and am about 134 now. I am stronger and have gone from a body fat of about 28% to 23.5%. I am in a good spot with those numbers.)
Thanks to all who read my venting of frustration.

(((hugs))) to you. I can feel your frustration in your post. I'd send you strength, if I could. :flowerforyou:0

big hugs from me too, it's very tough when life gets in the way of things we would like to be doing. No matter what the reasons or motivations.
I splurged the other day and got Nia Shanks Beautiful BadAss Blueprint - It Includes a Strength Training Guide with Barbells, A Body Weight Training Guide, A Cardio Fat Burning After your Strength Work Guide, And a lot of different Programs depending on your goals. (available from niashanks.com)
I am not officially started but am working with a PT who is concerned I will hurt myself if I just go straight into the big lifts.
I only intend using it after I progress from the beginner lifting I choose (mine is going to Starting Strength), but I have read lots about it and one of the things she stresses is to keep things simple. One of the other things she asks is for people to be aware of how much they can commit to and then work out their program from that point. So if that means once a week then that means once a week.
She also used the body weight stuff when she injured herself and could not do barbell lifts for a while, and has a large amount of information loads of different variations to make all the exercises easier or harder when progressing.
Maybe if you changed focus a little bit you can feel better about what you are doing and not be so down on less lifting for now.
Take Care
PS Ranting is a highly under-rated form of therapy I think - so good on you for letting it out!0 -
Thanks. It's good to hear even the professionals have to go down to mere body weight stuff sometimes, too.
I found exercise balance many times before, I will get there again.
Thanks for the tuber hugs.0
