Running The John Muir Trail

I ran across this "article", or photo gallery I guess. I, can't even comprehend something like this and I've done a 65 mile Adventure Race (self supported)

Interested to get some comments from some other long distance runners on this.

    I think it's awesome. Mike and Hal are elites in the ultrarunning world so they know what they are doing. Covering that distance is one thing but to do it in record time is amazing.

    The eastern Sierra Nevada, and that part of the trail down there, is really gorgeous.
    (Not to say it wasn't hard. Yikes! There must have been a ton of climbing in that run.)
    I notice they had donuts! Breakfast, lunch, or dinner of champions, I guess.
