Nutrition guide

Do you follow the nutrition guide that goes with the program? I'm having a hard time sticking with the nutritional side of things. The "Abs are made in the kitchen" has stuck with me, but I am horrible with planning, prepping...cooking. I've dropped a good deal of weight and now since I'm stuck, I want to dive into the food aspect of these guides. Aside from calorie counts, are you using the food guides that go with the program? Do you follow your own plan? I'd love to get some ideas on how to stick with it...
Also, kinda curious. Do you just prep for you or do you feed your families what you eat? I do have Shakeology, but would love some ideas on how to get started since I also eat what I make for the family meals. Thanks...

I don't bother since I'm on MFP. That way I can track my calories and nutrition. If I follow a meal plan (usually not a BB one, but I do follow them sometimes) I don't log. I just make a checklist of what I'm supposed to eat and go by that. But I've lost weight doing either. If you're looking to go healthier and feed your family, don't underestimate the power of the blog. Skinnytaste is the most popular and she has two kids, so you know the recipes are picky eater approved. I like Gluten Free Girl and the Chef and A Girl Defloured since I can't have gluten. I like getting ideas like this a bit better (personally) because since they're updated so much you don't run out of ideas, which is makes it a really fun and inspiring way to change your whole lifestyle (and that of your family) instead of just matching it up with a program. But still look at the recipes in the plans! There are some great ones. I like a lot of the TurboFire ones and use them a lot.0

I don't follow the nutrition guide and I simply count cals on Mfp. I did print out the food hierarchy tiers and use that as a guide to healthy eating though.
My SO is vegan so he usually eats my veggie sides and I just include a piece of chicken or fish for me. I do have a 2 yo and he eats what his dad eats ...lol0 -
Thanks for replying. I've been counting calories, but it seems to no longer be helping me lose the weight. Trying to do more research, but I could never grasp the meal prep since I cook for the family and end up having to taste while I cook. I end up eating with the family. Maybe lowering my intake?0
