So many people are now falling off the wagon and not committing themselves to leading a better quality of life.
I'm 42, love walking/running and a committed veggie (26 years). I log everyday and have lost 40+plus lbs, happy where I am at the moment but could do with toning up.

Add me as a friend if you like but please send me a message and an open diary helps in order to share meal tips.

I've been veg since 2009, and there are lots of us here! I log every day but I can't honestly say I comment on every post... I try to stay around 1400 cals on the days I don't exercise - my diary is open.

    Hi everyone!
There are a lot of veggies around, but it is nice to have a place for us to discuss things that relate to us without all the "other" stuff we may not want to read. Having other veggies around helps to keep on track and keep motivation up :)

I transitioned fully to a vegan diet in early November 2013, and am loving it. Looking to add vegan friends on MFP to share recipes and food ideas.

We are better off just swapping ideas here than in the main forum. Any thread about vegetarian food descends into people thinking they are funny by posting pics of steaks and then criticising anyone who suggests a vegetarian diet is healthy!

It happens to me as well sometime and I say "yum yum".

I have seen so many times that vegetarians tends to be over sensitive and forceful of their habits.A lot of time they can't even properly prove how veg diet is as much healthy as non-veg.So sometime they are named as "vegatarian terrorist".

I am new to my fitness pal and have once again made it my new years resolution to lose weight. I've been a vegetarian for around 25years and wouldn't have it any other way. Would welcome support and sharing ideas. Losing weight is a very hard road for me and I'm sick of not having my clothes fit and feeling tired all the time.

  • Hey!! I was excited to find this thread! I am new to the vegetarian (pescatarian) world! I have been considering it for the last year. I have read many books and watched a few documentaries that confirmed this was the right direction for me! The transition was easy and I love the foods I am eating! I found that I was "accidently" following the diet and I was just naturally moving away from meat. Once I realized I wasn't eating meat I made the decision to become a pescatarian. I feel lighter and healthier already! Most of the people in my life are very supportive of the change. I have heard a few negative comments but nothing too extreme! I am excited to share with "like minded" individuals and to hear the good food others are eating and to encourage others in their journey! :)
