Anyone else look at christmas decorations and think that they would make great costume additions, beads, fringes,all manner of shiny fabric?

I tend to so my costume shopping more at Halloween! Last year I scored an amazing pair of peacock-feather wings... this year it was extra glitter and purple & black striped tights.0

A group at my local hafla actually did a Christmas-themed Saiidi number with canes they'd decorated with light strands and (I think) tinsel! And the light switches/battery packs were hidden in a little miniature gift-box attached to the canes.
But yes, I see lots of shiny things this time of year and go "ooooohhh, I could do something with that!" I usually resist, though, because it will inevitably just end up in a box somewhere…0
